I applauded this years draft. But, as a 45 yr fan, I have to worry. How is our depth at ILB? That almost sounds stupid because 5 yrs ago, I would have asked " who are our ILB?"

The glass IS half full because that is the question you are asking at this point in the offseason.

Really, I am just asking about our ILB's. Dansby and Hayes are good....but beyond that?

Ah I see...I thought one of the OLBers was getting snaps at ILB as well? The one that was with the Steelers two seasons ago.

We also have Pago Tougafu (sp?) who looked very good in preseason for us a few years ago but was stolen by the Eagles.

LB will be a priority over the next few years.

I wanted to trade back up into the top of the 2nd and draft Malauga for this very reason. But at what cost? I wanted McKillop but I like our first 5 picks so much I don't know who to give back.

Lets just hope either we stay healthy or Highsmith is better then we think.

He might be.

The glass is half full all the time for the Cardinals, no matter the position.. Our whole front 7 is lacking if you are being honest about it, but it will be a priority in the upcoming year for whizz...

Ah, yes.

You are as strong as your weakest link, eh?

I was thinking about this situation today. We have Dansby, and Hayes.

Then a big drop off to Ali Highsmith.

And off a cliff:

Pago Tagafau, and two UDFA's.

The Good News !?!

Clark Haggans knows how to play ILB in a 3-4.

So it is not that bad.

DL depth is also a little shaky.

TE is the same guys as last year, plus Anthony "I am old" Becht.

RB core is young, but now more explosive.

We still got room to improve.

Ah, yes.

We still got room to improve.

So do the other 31 teams...by the way if Becht has any gas left...and I think he does...that is an outstanding pickup and if Dr. Spock can get back on the field he too will be a great help.

I think if you look at every NFL team, you can find a position which depth is a question mark. I'm just happy we have what we have now and hope this coming season will be kind to us as injuries go because for the most part we could not have asked for a better season...look at what happened to Seattle, they had hardly any starters at all towards the end of the year

At the WR spot they gotta find more playing time for Doucet, really get his feet wet in there.at the end of the year he should realistically have 40-50catches for 600-700 yds and 5 tds..jmo

Even better news would be if Cody Brown ends looking like a player and able to contribute this year.

That would make it just that much easier to slide Haggans to the middle.

maybe if Q was gone, but those are enormous numbers for a 4th receiver..

Bullock couldn't even earn a starting job at Maryland. I don't understand why he was signed and wouldn't put him anywhere on the depth chart.

I don't know about that, we have depth galore at OLB (no outstanding players but depth is there) and we have depth at DE. We may be lacking at NT (which if Branch gets his head right, we will not) and ILB (ok, we are lacking here) but I don't know we are lacking in the front 7 as a whole.
