A 7 year old quote has zero relevance today. Kinda lame imo to pull this out.

I think it's objectively funny.

And I think Deon's views on cleveland probably have not changed much, it seemed clear he was talking about not wanting to be in Cleveland, the city.

Yeah being a dick has nothing to do with it. On top of that having a dick as a dad doesn’t have anything to do with it either lol.

I’m not buying it.

That makes no sense though. if you're going to do that why not do it with Cam Ward? He played at Incarnate Word, Washington State, and then Miami. He got a big NIL.
Yes Sanders came from a wealthy family but Ward "used" the system more than Sanders did he only transferred to follow his father.

I think they're still trying to come up with some solution as to why they were so wrong about where he went and the answer is he wasn't as highly rated as you thought he was and when he revealed himself to be difficult in the interviews people just said why deal with that when he's not that good

Yep. Even RG3 and Kirk Cousins, both were needed...

Both different scenarios one guy was a first rounder one guy was later rounder. So there was a clear pecking order on who was supposed to be better. Now both worked out the opposite but in both cases the high draft pick got to play early and then lost the job.

Sanders was supposed to be better but based on what? Based on projections from who, the analysts who were dead wrong apparently on how good the NFL thought Sanders was.

A 74% completion percentage is pretty good though. I have to think it was a combination of being merely pretty good and having an ego that acted like he was already in the hall of fame.

Two major things happened that I heard a report on Pittsburgh sports talk radio today. One is that, smack dab in the middle of a team interview, he not only answered his phone, and it was not only a face time, but he then proceeded to talk to the person a while. Mid-sentence in an interview. The other is that he was so unprepared in a Giants interview that an irate Dabol flat out told him he was unprepared. JFC, no wonder no one really wanted him.

Then he should have been a perfect fit for the Giants. Daboll has left his team unprepared for the past 2 years.

The fantasy guy on ESPN Berry(blanking on first name) said he asked a couple of NFL people he knew about it and was told by 2 guys completely separately that Shedeur was just awful in interviews, completely full of himself, not prepared just infuriating. They both said they had a much worse opinion of him after the interview and would not have drafted him at all. They had both also interviewed Cam Ward and both loved him.

Daboll is downplaying his story but yeah he apparently asked him to do some install package(whatever that is) and Sanders couldn't do it and then got mad when Daboll called him out for not being ready to do it.

This is why you hired an agent. They would have had him ready.
