PFF guys think this was an owner pick, and that is the only way I can make sense of the pick.

The thing is it's going to be very difficult. If Sanders outplays Gabriel then Dillon was a bad pick. If Dillon outplays Sanders then Shedeur was a wasted pick unless you can trade him and who's going to trade for a guy they passed on in the draft 4-5 times?

Yeah, that is why the owner forcing the issue is the only thing that makes sense. Feels like the football people made their feelings clear with the Gabriel pick.

If they both fail, yes it’s a waste. If one of them becomes their long term starter then it’s a huge win for them. Wouldn’t care about wasting either pick in that long term starter scenario

Guys it’s not like drafting two QBs when you’re a qb hungry team is unheard of. Shuler/frerotte ring a bell? This was a good move by Cleveland for small stakes.

Besides all three of field stuff, he apparently has a flaw in his throwing motion that basically alerts the defense he is about to throw it. DBs will feast on that until he gets coached out of it.

He misplayed his hand through this whole draft process. You reap what you sow

Thought SF should’ve kicked the tires in case Brock wanted something ridiculous in terms of guaranteed money. It would’ve been an adequate plan B.
