As fans we look out for the team's best interest and we are right in doing do so but I'm curious how the other posters would do if they where one of these free-agents. You are Jenkins, Holliday ect... Of course there are valuable info, like how much pull a player's family have and what living conditions they want but just go off of what they have done on the field.

If I where Martay Jenkins, I would sign a one year contract with the Cardinals knowing I would have a good chance to be a #1 WR or #2 WR and that would give me an opportunity to prove my stock. Like many have said, Jenkins has not put the right numbers in a starting position yet to have the money he wants. Plus if I where Martay and had a clear mind, I would realize Sullivan and his staff have done a good job in developing me and I still have a ways to go. The staff made me better and all signs show they have the ability to make me a complete reciever.

If I was Holliday, I would come to the conclusion that I'm not really worth the money of a top rushing DE and I was lucky enough to be in a position that has has limited high end DEs and I have a chance to make a huge amount of money playing for the Cardinals. A chance that might never come along again. The Vikings would be a interesting option if my pride has something to prove to the Packers. It is less money but I could play the Packers twice a year and prove them wrong. The Bills for less money would probably put me on the team with the best shot to make a playoff run but damn it's cold in Buffalo!

If I was Frank Sanders, the Cardinals have given me enough money for a comfortable life and showed me a lot of loyalty in letting me play out a huge contract when my skills have decreased and I would be very curious what my numbers would look like with a change in QB. It seems Sanders was close with Plummer so I might have a negative view towards their decision but Blake might solve why my stats have dropped... it could have been Jake. Finally, I would would not have to pack up and move and it seems Frank and his family have made a home in Arizona. Frank can't ignore the fact that the Cardinals as in Jenkin's case provide a chance to be a main reciever.

If I was Emmitt, the Cardinals are clearly willing to pay me good money on the end of my career but the money is only a pride factor because I have made more than enough money in my career. I have a big fan base in Arizona and I would get a good chance to get a lot of carries and pad my record. The natural grass is a big plus since it would help prolong my career and that big offenssive line and the addition of a 270 fullback is just what the doctor ordered. Tampa, though, is just off a Superbowl championship and provides the best chance for a ring in the near future and Pittman could be unseated. Alstot might get a bunch of carries but doesn't carry the title of HB. Florida is my home state and it would be nice to go back home but the spotlight would not shine as bright on me as in Arizona.

These are my off the wall guesses.

I would say that from a practical standpoint I would agree with you....but is seems the reality is that frank sanders may be the only one that actually feels the sentiment you describe..

Wow. Apparently, if all free agents were like you, they'd be finding excuses to go to AZ.

I'm not sure if you do a great job of "walking a mile" in these guy's shoes.
