From a chat from ESPNLA's Arash Markazi... I gotta say I don't feel confident, but If the Lakers and their fan base have a similar outlook heading into the series, I do believe the Suns will give them all they can handle and then some...IMO this series is destined to go atleast 6 probably 7... But its hilarious to see that the Laker's bravado has already began....

1. How do u like the lakers match up with the suns? how long do u see the series going?

Arash Markazi (1:00 PM)

I think the Lakers match-up very well with the Suns. I know the Suns have played better since the All-Star break but I still can't see them giving the Lakers much of a challenge. I like the Lakers in 5.

2. Hey Mr. Markazi, Suns Nation are just so confident that they could beat the Lakers right now in 6 games. I mean, there is no way that Kobe Bryant would let this lakers team(Championship team) to lose to the Suns, I mean the "Suns". Kobe and Lakers fans might accept that we could lose to the Spurs, Celtics or Magics( teams that have been to the Final or won Championship before), I mean there is no way that Kobe would let the Lakers lose to the Suns, I sorry not the "SUNs". Am I being over confidence about the Lakers or just underestimated Suns.

I don't think you're being overconfident, I think most people think the Lakers will beat the Suns. I think it'll take five games, other might say 6 or 7 but I can't imagine too many people picking the Suns to unseat the Lakers in the playoffs

3. Assuming the Lakers beat the Jazz, what do you see as the biggest threat that 'los suns' pose to them in a 7 game series?

Arash Markazi (1:28 PM)

Well, the Suns are a good defensive team now which I know is shocking to hear but their new defensive mindset combined with an always potent offense makes them a tough team to play against but the Lakers match-up well against them. It's amazing to think the Thunder will be the Lakers' toughest match-up until they get to the Finals.

He just says the team from Minneapolis matches up well, doesnt say why. Typical ESPN douche.

I really don't see this huge hype; the way the lakers have been playing doesn't impress me much. They are barely winning by a thread and they have the more dominant players, deep bench and incredible coach and they are barely squeezing wins.

I do fear them for every reason. Every team so far, I could see the suns giving fits to. Orlando, it just doesn't seem to faze them much, they just dominate and take over. I wouldn't get too worried until the suns throw L.A. off their game. phil Jackson, coach pops...master tacticians...but how do you play chess with an unpredictable crazy man?
You don't...you can't figure them out, and everytime you think you have a move to counter, they are stumping you with something else.
That's the suns for you.
