$455m for UoP Stadium, which looks like a freaking bargain - now the MINIMUM price of entry seems to be $1b, with $2b the new "high end" price. I realize it's been 11 years since Jiffy Pop opened, but Jesus, that's insane! And Atlanta's existing stadium has only been around since the early '90s - and it's being replaced already? That's insane, gotta be able to build a place that's useful for more than 25 years!

Wasn't the Georgia Dome part of the whole Olympic thing down there when the hosted the Summer Olympics?

I think they held some events there...they constructed the Olympic Stadium in order for it to be converted into Turner Field for the Braves after the games were over. AND...the Braves are opening a new ballpark (SunTrust Park) in the Atlanta suburbs this upcoming season. Replacing a park they've had for only 20 years.

Georgia State U. purchased Turner Field in order to convert it into a college football stadium, so I guess it's not a complete waste...

My brother works as head of security at the new Braves park. I wonder if he'll have access to this one.

Say what you want about Chick-Fil-A, they're the best run fast food joint IMO. They've never gotten my order wrong, I'm always greeted with a smile, I've never gotten an attitude from the employees, and the food is always hot and good. And I've been to their restaurants in several different states. Can't say that about McD's, BK, Wendy's, ect. A close 2nd in the customer service department is Taco Bell although the one we frequent has fallen off a bit.

Man, Chick-Fil-A treats me better than my own family.

LOL that is pretty funny tho. It's amusing that every event that get's held in that stadium will probably get to enjoy tasty nuggets except the fans of the team it was built for on most gamedays.

I wonder if CFA will bend their rules for gamedays; they could make all the non-baptist/christians work those days? lol

Muslim/Jewish sundays at Chick Fil A!!! (bacon will not be available) I'm sure that would go over well in Atlanta. :p

No argument with Chick-fil-a, but In-n-Out and Raising Canes are right up there as well.

Agree. Chick Fila, Canes and In N Out are way above everyone else. They also are probably the best value for product now with all these other brands having to jack up pay under new min wage laws. In N Out was absolutely brilliant to start high pay and factor it in to their costs so long ago.

Yes. And Canes and In N Out open late is a godsend.

I wasn't sure I would like Canes, but family and I like it alot. Now, if Phoenix Mart really goes, just think how the mall will explode with other restaurants/stores.

I love telling them "My pleasure" when they say "Thank you" after I pay. They start smiling.
