I didn't complain or opine once during the preseason because I didn't know how bad they could be. They were atrocious this game though. Without a doubt the worst officiating I've ever seen in a professional football game. Not only bad calls, but they don't even know the F'ing rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the 49ers game was bad. the worst one I saw. I only watched the last 38 secs of the AZ game which looked really bad.

My favorite part was Blue Shirt Ref coming out to help and needing to call someone on his head phones for clarification.

LOL.

I am very happy we were able to overcome the Refs at the end.

I'm certain that sequence of events just pushed the NFL back to the negotiating table

yeah, but he would never say that about his boys! at least when he was on NFLN he would always come in talking like a politician. I'm glad he works for fox now.

Then still get it wrong. I love when Fox brings in Mike Pereira, you can hear the disgust in his voice when talking about the replacement refs.

There is no doubt the officiating was horrible. The timeout situation could have easily cost the Cardinals the game.

It was a poor performance by the refs. In addition to the TO screwup, they made some horrible decisions involving obvious PI's that were missed and a couple that were invented. Most of that went Seahawks way. We got away with holding on the Oline all game long, that's a plus for us. But, I think that's more than offset by the offsides calls against us before the refs finally noticed Okung and then all the other times they ignored his false starts.

I think that kid would have been vanquished if he got hit by someone on the field.

Doubtful:

The initial review of replacement officials' performance in Sunday's early games "went well with no major issue," said Ray Anderson, the NFL's executive vice president of football operations.

The replacement officials already have been assigned to Week 2 games, Anderson said.

I don't mean to be rude but seriously who cares? I'd love to look that young again and if they let me eat my share I'll even sell a few hot dogs for the privilege.

I dont criticize...they were asked to work on one of the largest stages in sports with five weeks to prepare...they will improve in time.

Good. That's the only way anything will be done, but it's going to take repeated screwups. That one was bad, because it wasn't just a matter of making a bad call, but of not even knowing the basic rules of football.

Even making Whis use a challenge on the backwards pass was pathetic (as well as many other calls). It destroys the whole flow of the game.

I never complain about the refs. Today was the first time I can ever remember actually getting mad about officiating.

I don't think it matters what they look like, but I really think the NFL should correct this referee situation and I don't want guys that don't know what they are doing out there on the field deciding these games.
