yankees are a joke. first arod screws them by opting out, thus letting the rangers off for paying a third of his salary for three more years, then the yankees say no way we sign arod if he opts out and then they sign him for 275 million.

Torre and Mattingly were never A-Rod fans. Heck, Joe batted him 8th last year in the playoffs!!! I'd be surprised if they would back a deal that would pay the loser more than $30million a year...
I'd say the Angels, Cubbies and Red Sox are the leading contenders...
