Not sure what to think about Thomas. If nothing else, drafting him signals the end of the Lindley era. Still, accuracy issues are killers. I'm not really feeling this one right now.

I think fans are really going to love Bucannon and Niklas the Thomas pick is the only one I'm really having problems with

Lack of accuracy and the TD to INT ratio horrendous. We certainly don't know more than the Cards front office but from where I sit right now this draft couldn't have gone any worse for the Cardinals.

Lindley has accuracy issues as well. I believe Thomas has a higher ceiling so if he replaces Lindley I'm good with this pick.

On which pick? We should have earlier picks the next few years- that seems to be the goal here - maybe he can take the job from our number 2 pick at TE?

I wanna support but I can't - I hate the entire draft. We have a starter at SS, he aint no AW and he aint a first rounder- He is the best Keim could dofor this fanbase-

Kind of like the advantages of marrying an ugly woman- when she leaves - you aint out much.

I hope we all eat crow. Severely.

This is the first pick I really question. Not a jaw dropper on the others..but I can deal. This one just leaves me with a Wtf look...

You're paraphrasing a classic Abbott and Costello routine. Sorry to say, they did it better.:)

Ok, so everyone is up in arms over Thomas pick...I get it...There are/were several other highly noted college QB's available...and people can't believe the Cards passed on them for Thomas...Well, guess what, 31 other teams have also passed on them, thus far. So, maybe the Cards know exactly what they are doing.

Personally, I think Mettenberger would be a good fit, physically, but with his diluted sample issue, he's going to continue dropping...Most likely to 5th round.

Although some of this is rationalizing with a liberal sprinkling of circular logic, I like this pick. For one, it keeps us from drafting Mettenberger which is a big plus IMO. Secondly, if they really think he has a future at QB it ends the horrible Ryan Lindley experiment. But mostly I like it because I'm convinced he'll be an effective tight end in our system.

To me this draft is shaping up to be more Minter/Taylor than Honey Badger/Ellington. Guys who may contribute down the road but we won't get much immediate return on.

To me the TE looks to be the best pick who will probably see the highest % of snaps.

I sincerely hope my faith in this staff isn't misplaced.

35.5 Vert. Highest of all QB's.

He can also throw the ball at 60 MPH. :)

If he can't make it at QB maybe he becomes a TE. I think the Cardinals believe they can fix his throwing issues with coaching.

But the dude has accuracy issues.

I watched some highlights and he runs a lot better than throw.

Some of his passes were really nice and others were really weak.

Doesn't look like he can look off or read a Defense. He locks on and throws

Definitely a project.

But BA and Moore must see something in him and that they can mold him.

This guy was going to be there after the draft was over or at worst in the 6th round. Terrible reach here.

LOL.

I love people making ridiculous claims like this. How do you know that none of the other 31 teams would have drafted him? You don't and apparently the Cards thought more highly about him than the other QBs, surely they were not the only team.

With the Texans taking Savage at the top of rd 5 maybe Logan wouldn't have gotten past them. Love me some koolaide :)

Polian hates Logan as a QB prospect but loves Savage.

Sirius Radio hates the pick also.

I love this draft - all you have to do is add +1 to the round in which we took every player - looks pretty solid except we didn't have a first round pick.

I look at it like this: pretty much every QB taken on day three will never play. That is fact.

So with this in mind I'd rather take a project with high upside. And Thomas is one of the best athletes in the draft at any position.

AND! In BA we trust.
