Wow, hadn't realized that much time passed since I posted about these. We are on a few lists - Barclay Communications, etc - so we just get tickets out of the blue many times.

I still get some through email also, but usually you can find the ones I posted here in the Trib or Rep (especially Thursday - The Rep and Get Out issues).

We also go to Volition and Wild About to get passes.

We haven't actually paid for a movie in years. Makes the snack bar prices seem reasonable.

Also - The New Times and sometimes College Times have movie passes.

Same routine - go to some local business to pick them up.

Tip - even if you do not have passes to see a movie, you can usually go to the theater where the preview is and someone in line will have an extra pass, or they'll have some free passes still available.

The Night Watch passes made me remember this old post -

What we need to do with some of these screenings is help each other out. If you live near one of these places giving out the tickets and it's something you don't care to go see, grab a pass or two and pass them on to others who might want to see the shows, but can't get to these specific locations at the specified times. A lot of people don't mind driving to see the screenings, but are not able to go to the places to get the passes in the first place...

You need to go to 43rd Ave and Cactus to pick up passes for a movie at Scottsdale Rd. and Camelback?

At the screening, do they have you fill out any surveys or anything? Or, is it pretty much just a free movie?
