What a great season finale.
So many things resolved. Yet, so many new storylines opened.
I look forward to the new season.

Can't wait for the new season next year (with Sopranos!). VERY solid episode, well written and directed, without having to resort to a cheap cliffhanger (like Alias).

Well I just finished Season 2 thanks to Fiasco mailing me the whole 2nd season on DVD. Thanks again bro.

I was not dissapointed. I do like the new characters. And like the fights in "***** Alley" axes to the back ...now thats payback.
I cant believe Alma is gonna give sloppy seconds to Ellsworth. Bullock is a pimp and the whole stone scenes with Al were disgusting.
Al Swearengen is now my favorite character taking over Bullocks spot. I cant wait for season 3 and what the "Hurst" affect is gonna do.

BTW In the last episode who was hanging at the end? Was that Mr W?

Yes, it was Wolcott.

Two things make it apparent:

1) The shot of his hat on the ground.

2) Earlier, he was seen in his room writing a letter, and in the foreground you can see the coiled rope he later uses to hang himself.

100% where there any glitches in the video? Not normal satellite interception pixilation which I can't help, but stuff like caller ID pop ups during the show when I was recording it off of the PVR onto my computer?

Brian Cox Joins HBO's Deadwood
Source: The Hollywood Reporter
August 29, 2005

Brian Cox (The Bourne Supremacy, Troy, X2: X-Men United), an Emmy winner for his work on the 2000 TNT miniseries Nuremberg, has joined the cast of HBO's Deadwood.

The Hollywood Reporter says Cox will play Jack Langrishe, an eccentric producer and theater owner who strives to introduce a modicum of culture to the mean streets of the South Dakota town where the Western drama is set.

Cox will appear in at least seven episodes of the Emmy-nominated series when it returns for its third season next year.

Don't worry, she's not going to marry Elsworth. He's doing it out of obligation, not because he really wants to, you can tell that everytime he mentions it, and especially in her tone when she talks to him about it. Trixie is just trying to push him.

Uh, I guess I was pretty wrong there... :(

HBO Saddles Up Deadwood Season Four
Source: Variety
January 6, 2006

HBO is nearing a deal with Deadwood creator-executive producer David Milch to lock up the western for another go-round, several months before the third season hits the air, reports Variety.

Production, in fact, is still under way on season three's 12-episode batch, which is slated to premiere in June.

The premiere had originally been scheduled for March, but was pushed back to make room for the new dramedy Big Love, about a polygamist, played by Bill Paxton, and his wives.

HBO executives are hoping to give "Love" a boost by pairing it with the network's strongest lead-in: the hotly anticipated sixth season bow of The Sopranos.

A great, great first episode to the season--a little bit of everything happened, involving pretty much every single character.

I've been out of town and just watched this weeks episode tonight.

What a great set up episode. The battle between Hearst and Swaringin is going to be epic.

WOW.
How about that fight. I'm glad Dan took down the Captain.
This show only gets better.

Holy crap, what a great episode, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time.

That fight was certainly not something you'll see on network television, that much is certain. What Dan ended up doing to the guy was unbelievable. I was speechless at how brutal that was. And they showed it!

Previews for next week look really good. If it wasn't implied, it certainly will be out in the open regarding Swearengen and Bullock's teaming up together vs. Hearst and maybe Tolliver.

Pretty scary scene between Jane and Jonie last night. I wonder what made them write that scene in. I had to look away.

I think it's two people that are pretty messed up. Jane and her drinking seems to be really coming to a head and Joanie just seems really lost.
