AZ Steve thanks for talking football. I don't hate Whiz, I think He is wrong for cutting Matt after 85 % of the Cards fans polled thought he should start. after a 7-8 then 4-6 followed by a 9-10 from the bench against Chicago. all under extreme pressure with rookie receivers.
I don't change my mind easily. I have Leinart graded as a borderline elite NFL QB near the top 10 this year as a starter for the cardinals. evidenced by his beating out MVP SB QB KW in 06, putting up 2500 yards in 11 games(over 4000 if 16 games) against great defenses as a rookie, setting Cardinal and NFL records.
Beating out Kurt for the start in 2007 under new coach Whiz before the collar bone injury. his close competion and loss of starting job to KW in 08 preseason, his play against the Titans and the highest QB rating in the NFL the first 3 season games as before mentioned.
He should have treated Deuce with the respect other teams treated their starting players in this extended FA CBA lockout season. the slighest effort or workoutbonus for Steve, Lyle and Deuce would have meant the world to the team as a whole. SB caliber players that outplayed their contracts by (compared to Fanecas 8.5 million 2010 salary) lets say 8.2 million or so!
We had our first ever SB less than a year before, Whiz got a contract, Graves got a contract for whatever reason Fitz, AW and DD are the only drafted Cards signed long term since Whiz arrived 4 years ago. Francisco was on the fringe of signing when Whiz arrived, Hayes and Reggie Wells signed for DG before. Thats amazing to me. Rolle, Dansby, Q all rejected as much or more money from the Cards to leave a SB team!
not being negative but explain that to me intelligently? I can see Whiz before cutting Matty now, blink, silence blink - calculated response, i know some fans feel some discomfort with having different players than they are use to seeing in there, I want them to know I have a feel for this team and what we need to get better.

it's correctable but it starts with Whiz following his own advice, like he joked last year, If the stupid playcaller would call more runs, I have yet to see him put DA/Kurt/ Matt in the best position to win an NFL game. They win in spite of the playcalling not because of it.
And Whiz knows it, says it and is allergic to the run game, loyal to lesser talent and is rigid as day is long,
look at our draft picks left now, since Denny left , were never going to the SB like this, just look at us! take a long gander! We just struggled like dogs against 2 of the worse teams in history of earth. and was blown out by a fringe playoff team.
I like Whiz but He needs some fresh input outside his circle of coaches, starting with a single offensive Coordinator and a new defensive coordinator, too much grief across the board to be players or units.
