What about marion, our two picks to boston for #5 (take brewer or brandin wright, one will be there as atl is taking conley) and theo ratliff.

Ratliff will be in the last year of his contract and makes 5 million less than marion. Ainge loves marion, and they are in a situation where they have a lot of young guys, and need to improve now.

People were saying marion, #4 was a viable trade for #2 if boston got it, how about this.

Actually, a couple years back dallas traded antawn jamison to washington for #5(devin harris)/stackhouse, that seems similar to marion, our picks, for #5.

People were saying it, but it wasn't true.

Getting the #5 for Marion is probably possible if Ainge loves Marion as much as this board seems to think he does. But I don't see how that makes the Suns better.

If wright or brewer is there, i think in the long run in makes the suns better, not next year.

But at this point, after what has happened the last 9 days, I feel like a dude at a blackjack table who's lost almost everything but is still playing, determined to come out of it with something. I'm determined to somehow get a top pick in this draft, just to say damnit we can get it.

Birth to 32, Phoenix. Now, enemy territory.
I dunno.. If the draft really WAS rigged, I can think of a few markets that they'd rather have seen Oden and Durant start their careers off in than Portland and Seattle.

Quite the contrary.

I actually told a friend of mine that the Sonics were a lock for the 1st or 2nd pick, and he told me I was nuts. Think of it this way, the Sonics are almost certainly headed out of Seattle, due to their inability to secure a new stadium/lease. What better way to try and prop up an ailing franchise than giving them the top pick? Only, since that would've been way too obvious, they gave them the 2nd.

The NBA is so rigged, it's an absolute joke (and not just because of the stupid lottery). Sad, really. I used to live and die by the Suns, but I now find the NBA's product barely watchable...

"I paid off the leprechaun this morning," sighed Tom Heinsohn, who was the Celtics' representative, "and he lied to me. Leprechauns will do that."

It's funny to hear the East Coast media cry about Oden and Durant going to the Northwest. Their arguement is that no one will get to see them play due to the late starting games in the Pacific time zone. Kobe and the Lakers seem to be doing just fine. Their would have been no complaints if one of the top two picks would have went to the an L.A. team who happen to be in that very same Pacific time zone.
