I didn't know it was happening but I hope it's more true to the cheesy movie than the actual book. I'm sure that's not an opinion shared by many but, even though I typically like Heilein, I was never that fond of the book.
The article I read said it's likely this particular director will follow the book closer instead of the movie,...
I never read the book either... even a new take on it has me interested.

Yeah I'm not surprised given how upset most ST book fans were of the movie when it came out.

As long as it stays brutal,....and they have an adequate replacement for Dina Meyer in the shower scene I'm in
I'm in favor of keeping the shower sequence and her sex scene later on that Ironside interrupts. And they also need to keep Dina's dying comment "but it's okay because I got to have you". They don't write stuff like that anymore. I don't know which one is cheesiest, that line or the Armageddon quote seemingly delivered without a breath "Colonel Willie Sharp, United States Air Force, ma'am, requesting permission to shake the hand of the daughter of the bravest man I've ever met". Oh how I miss the 90's.

That is the all time cheesiest, cringiest line in the history of film making.
