As for Gonzo, I remember a quote from GM Joe about Hairston being likely to move to the OF, with LF being a possibilty. Maybe theyve warmed up to the idea of Gonzalez moving to first.

P - Shawn Estes
OF - Adam Dunn
OF - Cliff Floyd
OF - Dave Roberts
Estes is a FA and I don't imagine there will be teams line up to get him so that won't be a problem until he takes the mound. Dunn is going to cost a lot as will Floyd. Running Floyd out there with Glaus and perhaps Burnett would be the gamble of a lifetime. I've always liked Dave Roberts and would love to see him in a DBacks uniform if the price is right.
Nothing is set in stone and the likely scenario is that they're basically getting an idea of what the market is for these guys but I felt it was worth mentioning.

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- The Arizona Diamondbacks called the New York Yankees again Monday in an effort to restart trade talks on Randy Johnson.
Jeff Moorad, the Diamondbacks' incoming chief executive officer, called Yankees president Randy Levine, a baseball official said on condition of anonymity.
Moorad asked if anything was new on Johnson but did not make a new proposal, and the discussion ended there, the official said.
New York ended trade discussions Dec. 1, calling the Diamondbacks' asking price for the Big Unit excessive.
Arizona's last proposal was to trade Johnson to New York for pitcher Javier Vazquez, setup man Tom Gordon, pitching prospect Brad Halsey and the difference between the $17 million Johnson is due for the remaining year in his contract and the $35.5 million Vazquez is owed in his deal, which has three seasons left.
Alternatively, the official said, the Diamondbacks told the Yankees they could remove Gordon from the deal and replace him with a top pitcher the Yankees would have to acquire from another team.
Johnson's agents have asked Arizona to deal the 41-year-old left-hander to a contending team, but he has a no-trade clause, and it's not clear whether he would accept a trade to any club other than the Yankees.

Earlier in the day, the Mets and Diamondbacks were engaged in heavy trade discussions that would send Floyd to Arizona, and also potentially involve the Red Sox. In one variation, the Mets would get Shea Hillenbrand and Doug Mientkiewicz, whom they could platoon at first base.
Diamondbacks brass portrayed the deal as alive, but Mets insiders disputed that, claiming the teams couldn't find a match.
If that is indeed what the Mets demanded for Floyd, then I'm glad that the Dbacks "balked"....According to a National League executive, the Mets offered Floyd and $3 million to the Arizona Diamondbacks and asked for first baseman Shea Hillenbrand and shortstop Alex Cintron in return. The D'backs passed.

MaoTosiFanClub said:I don't buy into the validity of these Hillenbrand-Dunn rumors. If we ask the Reds for Dunn, the first words out of their GM's mouth is going to be Brandon Webb followed by Conor Jackson and Carlos Quentin. Although it wouldn't surprise me at all at this point if we start trading away prospects. Moorad seems intent on making an impact in the NL West at any cost, such as smart contracts and top prospects.
One possible deal emerged Monday night, when a Phoenix TV station reported that the Reds would send left fielder Adam Dunn to the Arizona Diamondbacks for third baseman Shea Hillenbrand and infielder Alex Cintron and possibly right-hander Javier Vasquez, who would be included as part of a three-way deal sending Randy Johnson to the New York Yankees.

The Yankees are willing to give up Javier Vazquez, about $12 million of the $19.5 million difference between Johnson's $16 million salary and the $35.5 million left on Vazquez' deal, Brad Halsey, Alex Graman and pitching prospect Abel Gomez.
Yet, the Diamondbacks want the Yankees to sacrifice Vazquez, $19.5 million, get a big league pitcher from another club and deal him to Arizona and four Yankee prospects. Or they want Vazquez, $19.5 million, Tom Gordon and prospects.
Another proposal was Vazquez, Gordon, $19.5 million and lefty Brad Halsey. The final offer was Vazquez, Shawn Chacon (from Colorado), Halsey and three prospects, including infielder Eric Duncan, the jewel of the Yankees' system.
