C'mon, who's with me?

Seattle plays vs SD and @ TB.

SF plays vs AZ and @ DEN.

SEA has to win one game or SF lose one.

SF has to win both games and have SEA lose both.

I really hate Seattle and would love for them to go 0 for 4 trying to lock up the West.

Yeah, I hate the 49ers too, but I am wanting Seattle to lose very badly. Plus, that would also give the niners a worse draft pick so they won't get another stud to go with their developing core.

Our draft pick status wouldn't be terribly affected by a loss to SF I don't think.

It would solidify that Denny should leave.

And Seattle blows the playoffs...

Lots of good things happen with that scenario....

ohhhh your going to incur the wrath of the knuckleheads here who say "If you dont cheer for a win every game you're not a fan"

These people get physically excited about the difference between a 4-12 season and 5-11.

SF all the way baby. Yes, I hate them, but they aren't nearly as irritating as the lambs or hags. Plus I have a good friend who is a Niner's fan.

I am for Seattle losing the division. Too bad we can't play them again.

That would be absolutely hilarious if that happened. And in this lost season, I'd gladly accept a loss to the 9ers if it eventually meant that SEA missed the playoffs....

It would be cool, having both SB participants miss the playoffs entirely.

Count me in abomb! I have in-laws who live in Seattle and would LOVE to see the Hawks spit the bit!!!!

I think the 9ers would be one heckuva story if they pull this off. Should also illustrate what solid coaching can do for a team. Does anyone believe the 9ers are more talented than we are? Yet, here are stand - with a chance to make the post season as we continue our death spiral...

If anyone wins the division, I want it to be Seattle. I hate the 49ers and the bandwagon fans that will come out of the closet if they rise again. That hate is only outdone by my hate for the Rams (and Felons).

Sorry, but since there's no transcendent talents in this draft that will be available for the Cards, I'd rather take a win against SF and play spoiler. I do not want to see an 8-8 team in the playoffs regardless.

Go Cards.

If someone would have said that the 49ers would be in the running for the division title in December at the beginning of the season I would have had to slap them and say "come to your senses man".

It is still unlikely but, I don't know... stranger things have happened.

As a fan they have exceeded my expectations, and football is fun to watch again in the sense that you start expecting the team to win. I guess maybe it’s the disappointment at loosing is deferent when you expect to win.

Good luck next year with your new victim er I mean coach.

Okay, feel my wrath. What kind of fan is ever okay with a loss? When beating Minnesota in 2003 meant a lower draft pick, it was still the right thing to do because it was just so sweet to see the disappointment on the faces of the "visiting" fans.

As to "physically excited," I'm a little worried about what you mean there, but yes, 5-11 is better than 4-12...and 6-10 will be better still.

No, no. You don't understand. When we won that game we lost all chance of ever getting a QB of the future. We screwed ourself forever. The second that we are no longer playoff eligible we need to lose because that's how you become a winner. By losing.

I could care less about SF making or not making the playoffs...

Except for one factor - If they can get knocked out of contention via the outcome of one or more earlier Sunday games, they could conceivably suffer a letdown and would be easier for us to beat.

That's all I care about.

Anyone care to offer 1st game scenarios that could automatically knock SF out of the box?

The Cardinals do a good enough job of losing without the fans wanting them to. Just leave them alone and they'll find a way to shoot themselves in the foot.

Besides the Cardinals don't know how to draft anyway so who cares which pick they get.

If the Hags win, all of this would be moot and I'd want to see us win out. However, if us losing to the Niners would guarantee the Hags missing the playoffs, I would be ALL over us losing. I just really, really, really want to see a mediocre team that is incredibly cocky choke away the playoffs.

I always want to win every game regardless of record. Winning is why the games are played. I will be watching, and like Jeff, I will be scanning the early games for factors that might help my team.

I believe it would be the first time ever that we did better than break even in the NFC West. To me, that's a fairly big deal.
