sounds nasty. Elaborate, please.

Get like three pounds of salmon, bass, halibut, cut into chunks. slice up calamari. scallops, scrimps, mussels.

Layer in stew pot with garlic, diced tomatoes, olives, parsley. Cook in oven for an hour.

Has to be kinda fresh seafood. though.

Serve with crusty bread. Delicious.

that sounds much better that what I was picturing (regular beef stew only with fish chunks instead of meat chunks)

Gross! Dinty moore with tuna. Ugh.

It sounds fancy like, but we just go to a fish store that doesn't really cost so much.

It is a recipe from my inlaws that came over on a boat from Italy.

i was cooking up some pulled pork and brisket this weekend for future use and decided to try this for dinner last night from my smoke & spice cookbook

took a couple boneless, skinless chicken breasts and applied a rub

the rub consists of black pepper, paprika, turbinado sugar, kosher salt, dry mustard and cayenne

then i made the alabama great white sauce consisting of mayo, apple cider vinegar, pepper, kosher salt, onion powder & cayenne

i let my wife pick the woods so I armed myself with sugar maple and white oak

after letting the rub settle in for about a half hour I diluted the sauce with some water to make a mop - hit it before throwing it on the smoker where it sat for 40 minutes ...... not getting up to eating temps fast enough I transfered to the gas grill and hit it with the mop again

when the chicken was done I toasted some white bread - threw some lettuce on there, coated one side with the white sauce and threw a nice hit of relish on the sandwich

fan-freaking-tastic

tonight i'm back to boring grilled tilapia with rice and veg

I'm so proud of my supper tonight that I had to share.

I am making green chili chicken tostadas with rice. Green chili from scratch, I'm going to attempt to make the corn tortillas from scratch, and my rice recipe is 100 years old.

On our first snow of the fall this should be a very comforting supper.

Tonight I'm making homemade bagels and going with some Lox from the local deli.

Only if you forgot the salt and the lime.

Always chilled, straight up. :)

Yesterday was a crappy day. Today is better.

Tonight's dinner? Bad foods. I am giving up beer, diet soda and all fried foods for Lent. I have actually already stopped drinking diet soda and it has made a huge difference in the way I feel.

I grilled a thin steak and covered it in sauteed onions, with fresh green beans on the side, and a glass of milk. Then I had 4 frozen thin mints (yum).

If it was Friday night, I would have gotten drunk, considering the crappy day I had. But alas, I limited myself to 2 Dos Equis.
