Congrats Jersey... Gotta say, it was very nice to see Lidge close out the game. Charlie and his boys seem like a bunch of great guys... Great to see some good guys win!!

Oh - and the booing of Selig during his presentation of the trophy was PRICELESS!!!! Gotta love Philly fans!!!

major reasons to boo selig. Even vegas paid out for the phillies win when the game was suspended. You just cant call a game at the 1/2 inning mark. It actually should have been called much earlier, perhaps even replayed entirely. But I'll take it ,a phillies win!!!

Oh man.... I miss The Daily News so damm much! Used to walk down to the corner deli every Sunday to get that paper and a pack of Winstons for my grandfather...
My brothers and I would scour the sports section each Sunday, fighting over the MLB Baseball leaders listing...

Just getting back on to the boards. My God it's been a whirlwind week. We are the damn champs!!!!! (JG stand up!!!) Yesterday was outrageous. Went to Broad and Snyder with a 22 oz can of Molson in one pocket and a flask of Meukow cognac in the other. Got a grub at one of the most famous Roast Beef spots in Philly, then tried to go to Modells and get a hat, but they were packed and had the street blocked off, at 2:00AM!!! Whooohooo!! Woke up this morning with a raging headache, but it was all worth it. I'll be at the parade tomorrow (unfortunately I still have to work) but the parade route starts right outside my job, and they've given us an extra hour at lunch to attend. I keep waiting to wake up and realize this was all just a very vivid dream, but it hasn't happened yet. WORLD CHAMPS BABY!!!!

Watched the parade online at work today. (I'm a SUPER teacher, lol!) Called my dad in Florida to give him the website since we couldn't be there physically.

My sis, borther, cousins and a bunch of friends went up to the parade. Tried to take the train in from Jersey, but there was a TWO HOUR wait! (Those people commuting to work must have been pissed!) So they drove in. Not sure how that worked out, lol.

Am looking forward to getting lots of goodies from Philly in the mail soon!!!
