Arizona State football fans slam 'truly insulting' College Football Playoff graphic

How much of a Cinderella story is the Arizona State football team this season?

Evidently big enough to not know what the Sun Devils' logo is.

At least that is what happened on ESPN's "College Football Live" on Wednesday, when Sam Acho was unveiling his tiers for the College Football Playoff on the show.

During the segment, the logo that appeared when Acho was talking about ASU football was the block A of the University of Arizona.

Oops.

Acho pointed out the mistake quickly during the segment, saying: "That should be an ASU symbol, that's how much of a Cinderella story it is."

--------------------------------------------

Tried to spin it off as a cute mistake, but how can the alleged "Worldwide leader in sports" continue to mix up the logos of Arizona and Arizona State? Ridiculous.

This is why I prefer Sparky as the ASU logo. No one is going to get that confused.

Texas has consistently been overrated this year, mainly because their QB (Ewers) is not nearly as good as advertised. They're more talented than Clemson and ASU for that matter. 9 pts seems a lot but I would expect them to beat Clemson. And then they'll have to play nearly flawless ball to beat the Devils.
I don't think Texas has to be flawless to win their games, but they definitely need to be more opportunistic on offense to beat Clemson and ASU. To be honest I fear Clemson more, but I haven't watched ASU all year. I'm sure if Texas beats Clemson I will become more aware of the ASU matchup.

Texas have left a lot of points off the board, including multiple missed field goals within normal range of a CFB kicker. In fact I wouldn't kick anymore with that guy beyond 40 yards. If you look at their last 3 games Texas dominated in the trenches and should have blown out Kentucky, A&M, and should have at least defeated Georgia. But Texas are not scoring points in the red area because of missed FG's and horrible turnovers.

Texas' strength is their depth, particularly in the trenches. their entire defense is stout against the run and pass. they are a little bit behind (from last year) in the skill position areas on offense, but they have room to improve. Ewers is talented but not consistent in his decision making. Wide receiver core is young, but very talented. RB is not as good as prior years.

I was really pissed after the UGA loss, but there are some positives. Texas played a lot better in the rematch vs. UGA. Ewers might have had his best game since the Michigan game if you take away about 5 plays where he really screwed up. Overall Texas flipped the script in the trenches and looked like the more physical football team, with the exception of Texas being unable to run the ball in the red zone. I think the outcome from that will be more Arch Manning in the red zone in the playoffs because he is more of a dual threat. I also think Texas ended Georgia's season in spite of losing that game. and with Georgia's QB situation they probably won't win the national title now assuming that they are not able to throw the ball anymore. Georgia needed the bye week a lot more than Texas did.

I have a Miami friend that said the exact same thing to me. I'm not buying into anything because Texas has played down to their opponents in the last 3 games. They should have won all 3 of those games going away and they did not because they are hampered by red zone issues on offense. also having a problem with turnovers on offense. I think the cure for it is not to bench Ewers because he did show a lot of hope throwing the ball against UGA. but in the red zone they need to play Arch Manning and give him full control of that offense in those moments.

Still a chance, but I'm not feeling optimistic based on the things I'm reading so far.

I saw a replay of this today. There is no way it gets overturned on appeal. About the only chance would be to remember the refs didn’t throw a flag in real time. I just don’t see a way they don’t uphold it

Tickets starting @ $97? That is crazy cheap.

But then you got the travel expenses which messes it up.

The initial appeal for Shamari Simmons to play in the first half of the Peach Bowl was denied.

The quarter finals round has got to be played on campuses like the initial round. I suspect it will eventually be that way.
