I'm not the biggest fan of Kliff's JV style offense, but he's been much better recently. There's actually been motion and misdirection. Wr's are finally being moved around and not asked to run the same routes over and over. They miraculously ran a PA rollout, which was unheard of before. Pass plays over 10 yards. So, definitely an improvement over the preschool offense they were running before.
You know more than me about football and I'm glad to be schooled. I was track and baseball, so when I speak about football
it's as a fan of the team with no real inside knowledge of the game

I looked at the clock and thought...a knee at the one would would guarantee a win (3 tries for run plays and then the 95% FG on 4th)
We needed a TD, not a FG.
Are you forgetting about the 99 yard interception TD return by James Harrison that ended the first half? Hell no, nothing from the 1 yard line, Larry needed to score & he did. Yes I worried about Ben having too much time but you know what? I'd take that 43 yard TD 10 more times if I had the choice? Score & put the pressure on them. Our defense wasn't dominate, but it was a big play defense, they seemed to get big sacks & key turnovers when needed & we were on a hot streak that whole post season. Plus the Steelers would've still had the 2 minute warning timeout & they had at least 1 timeout left. Still plenty of time for Big Ben. Best I can remember, there was around 2:12 left on the clock when Larry scored.

You don’t take a knee in the Super Bowl at the 1 yard line when you’re behind by 4 points & assuming you will score a TD!!! That asinine. There is no guarantee you score to take the lead.

Btw the game was lost on the next possession after a Stealer hold set them up at 2nd & 20 when Dockett missed a sack on the Stealers 1 yard line. That would’ve sealed it

If you are right that we we down 4 and not 2 then I've been haunted for nothing for all these years :(

why do you guys keep saying 43 yard TD? I think it was 57. He caught the ball at the 50 before running faster than anyone I’d ever seen in my life.

Bottom line is the offensive efficiency isn't there when it needs to be. With weapons like Kyler, Nuk, Chase, etc, the team could trip over it's feet for 400 yards, but when it counts has been the issue. The short yard failures, the mind boggling play calls, the questionable decision making, all has cost us wins. I'm extremely satisfied with the numbers and rankings, but I'm not for one second giving KK genius status at this juncture. Anyone who can't realize that his "brain farts" has cost us at a minimum two wins this year, just isn't paying attention IMO.

It was 64 yards, not that it matters.

I thought it was much longer than 43 yards.

man... what a moment. Ouchie and I were sitting in the second to last row of the stadium and from our angle, you could tell from the moment he caught the ball that he was going to split those two Steeler defenders and have nothing but a green and a TD in front him.

******* that missed sack by Dockett and then Francisco going Fransisco and letting Holmes turn a 15 yard gain into 45 to get the Steelers into scoring position. Those were the two plays that truly killed us on that drive.

We were sitting right at the goal line in the end zone he scored in. We were 20 rows up in the cards family section. Right next to Jim Os mom and sister. It was their dads last game with the cards as a trainer. That's is right where Harrison scored his TD too. The boy even saw that he landed on fitzsimmons foot and knew it was a TD. Good times too bad we didn't pull it off

Look it up. I thought it was a 43 yd TD. Either way, my comment to the OP makes sense lol.

I just looked it up. You & I were both wrong but you were closer than me lol. It was a 64 yard TD & 55 of it was YAC. We snapped the ball from our own 36 yard line.
