The Los Angeles Rams know how to get first downs when it matters most
Over the past three seasons, the Rams converted 92% of their fourth-and-one situations, according to NFL analyst Warren Sharp. That rate is No. 1 in the NFL over that span, ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs (89%), Denver Broncos (87%) and Philadelphia Eagles (86%).
Here's the full 32-team breakdown:
Sharp compiled this list because of all the contraversy around the potential Tush Push ban, but it's incredible that the Rams are leading the league when Stafford attempted a fourth-down rush twice in three seasons.
This is then a testament both to the offensive line, running backs and Sean McVay's play-calling. Perhaps that's why McVay isn't the biggest fan of the Tush Push — he's discovered how to convert on fourth down without it in recent years.
