I've read all the posts over the past week regarding the pro's and con's on Warner. Denny and many of you say hold the course, he is the experienced one that we must keep in there.

I say bull. He is getting paid $3 million per year and don't forget that. Interceptions will happen and fumbles also after getting hit by a rushing lineman. BUT A PROFESSIONAL QB DOES NOT FUMBLE THE SNAP WITH LESS THAN TWO MINUTES ON THE CLOCK ON THE RAMS 16 YARD LINE. (as a matter of fact most starting qbs in the college ranks would have been able to handle the snap).

I certainly respect all opinions on this board but IMO Warner lost that game and doesn't deserve to start. He is also not going to learn to handle the snap. He is wha he is. A high expensive backup!!

I would prefer to have Leinart start with the KC game. We can do what San Diego is doing with Rivers. Have a simple system with few passes until he gets his feet on the ground.

That's easy to do with a running game like S.D. and a backfield of Neal and Tomlinson.

Did you really have to start a brand new thread for this???

:bigyawn:

Probably not but I've been out of town all week and now see many posters going along with Denny on having Warner continue to lose games for us.

I actually like that problem, I'm all for yanking Warner or benching him next screw up and all, but I do not mind having both Warner and Matt. In expensive back up QB is fine with me, considring the Cards have a ton of cash to spend, beats having the Dave Browns of this world.

Hmm, so neither Warner nor Bulger our PROFESSIONAL QB's...Intersting, rediculous, but interesting.

The title of this thread was right on: "The Reality of Kurt Warner Starting."

Warner starts tomorrow. The reality of his starting will be borne out on the field when he plays.

What happened last week or the week before that is already on the books and water over the dam.

Onward!

Yeah we can only hope we don't get an Act II from Warner in Atlanta Jeff. I hope we don't. I hope he comes out and eats the Atlanta defense for lunch. We cannot afford him giving away "should win" games to the opposition any more. That loss against the Rams was all on him. It was a shame too. We started to run the ball decently and held Jackson to less than 100 yrds. If the Steelers or the Cowboys with a long winning tradition have a game like that it's not that big of a deal. The Cards however are still learning how to win and a veteran like Warner giving away the game like that made that loss a particularly "stinging" one.
