PHO trade

Jahidi White

PHO get

Chris Mills

With Baker and LaFrentz out, the McCarty-Mark Blount starting frontcourt sounds a bit hilarious.
Even with his limited talent White could definitely help them.

We get even more cap relief which is after this trade enough for a max. FA.

Being in the east, I'm sure they have seen White before. I suspect that they will keep trying to turn Mihm into a player.

"Before" they did not have a useless player with an expiring contract.

With benching of him?

Anyway they still could use White even if Mihm will take one of the starting frontcourt spots.

The Suns still thought they could get to the playoffs when they made that trade. If they had known that the season was a lost cause, they wouldn't have made that deal.

White has contributed, its just that he is not really quick enough.

I actully like White. But he needs to lose 15-20lbs. If he was just alittle less fat on top he would be much more effective and not as out of control.

But I do love the tuffness he brings. For a 6'9" center he sure can block some shots.

I would like to beable to keep White for a solid bigman at center but 6 mill a year is alot. If he lost alittle weight he might be worth it.

Trade makes sense to me. Not sure about the celtics stance on taking on salary however. At least White only has 1 more year on his deal though.

I like the dimension White brings to this team, but realistically, if we are going to run for a max player, either him or eisley will have to go.

White is obviously easier to move. He has a shorter deal, and is a big body.

I would prefer trying to send Eisley back to Utah, along with the NY conditional pick (or the Cle. pick). They would have use for a solid vet to man the point, at least as a backup. I don't think they realistically plan on getting any big name FAs this summer. (Or being able to pry Manu or Okur away for that matter)

Me too but breaking up our great chemistry there is no way,IMO that UTA will take Eisley's contract. Not even with NYK's 2004 pick.

O'Connor was very conservative even with their huge cap room. He didn't want to overpaid that few FA's who seemed to be ready to move SLC.
They gave realistic offer sheets to both Terry and Maggette.
At the end they kept (they had to keep) their cap flexibility which paid off greatly for them in the Rice-trade.

I think that they will do their "rebuilding" in this way as long as Sloan builds a great team from mediocre parts.
