How many times has Dessens already put the club in a 4 or 5-0 after 2 innings.

Normally, I would dismiss a thread like this as utter BS....that is, until I saw Dessens just issue a bases-loaded walk to the !@#$% pitcher!! Elmer is very lucky to get out of that jam giving up only one run!!

To place all the blame for today's current situation (as of now, down 6-4 in the bottom of the 8th) on Elmer is ludicrous... He struggled through five innings, but left with a 4-2 lead. The way the bullpen has usually performed would have actually set him up for a win.... but such is baseball...

Usually the D-Backs bullpen does come through. I guess everyone has to have a down day. Good news, though was that in this series, Myers looked seriously good. He will be a big boost if he is pitching well.

I guess with Curt and Randy you can afford to have one pitcher on the team only go 5 innings, but that's what cost the D-Backs today. Villareal was good his first inning.
