My brother is a programmer in the air force. Half the people he works with don't know anything about computers and the other half just play Everquest all day.

Obviously he wouldn't survive so we took him home with us and raised him. My neighbor held him on his lap the entire way home. We named him Oscar (After Oscar Meyer, the intention was to raise and eat him) and he became quite tame. He used to chase after a tennis ball when we played with the dogs. I beleive he actually thought he was a dog.

Unfortunately my dad didn't believe he would be safe when his tusks grew in so he sent him to the slaughter house. Kind of sad but damn that was some good bacon.

Yeah, that reminds me of the time when I was a kid when we went rabbit hunting. We shot about 50, or 60, and then found the cutest little bunny with the fluffiest little white tail you've ever seen by the corpse of his mother. So, we took the bunny home for a pet. When we got home, I thought it would be fun to play "shovel tag" with the bunny. Unfortunately, when I tagged the bunny with the shovel, it died.

Saddest day of my life.

We just got back from 2 weeks in Italy and Florence was by far our favorite city.

There was an awesome Gelato place right before you turn to get on the bridge.

Excellent job. Its great to put names with faces.
A weird aside... As I was scrolling through the photos I found my image in the background of someone elses picture! If you look at the photo of Big Tony Im the one in the background just over his head wearing the 42 jersey.
I'd post a picture but being e challenged I'd have not a clue.
Also Im considering a user name change as I will be reupping my season tix this year after a 1 year health realted hiatus. Could someone point me in the right direction? I realize thats a loaded question on this board, So have at it!
Thanks

Right click on the picture and do a "Save as" on your computer. Make sure it is a .jpeg. Save it then upload it by attaching photo.

Also, you can resize your photos by opening up Microsoft Paint. Open the jpeg photo there then under the Attribute, select skew. Then override the 100 / 100 on x / y scales to about 60 / 60. Try and tinker around with it until you get a good size.

"Awesome gelato" is redundant.

I'll post another pick later this weekend of me buying gelato. My wife thought it would be appropriate to have a number of pictures of me eating gelato because I did so much of it.

Mango y Fragola, por favor.

I'm jealous you were just there!

I'll keep it short because I could write forever and ever about Florence...definitely my favorite city! I was over there for school and then spent a couple weeks travelling around afterwards. We also had Friday's off from class a lot of the time so we could take off for a long weekend and travel around!

I know the gelato place your speaking of all to well! Actually I ate gelato just about everyday! Fortunately I had a 45 min. walk from my apartment to school!

The art and architecture was amazing the food was excellent(except for the time I accidently ordered chicken hearts) and the people were very friendly. I loved the scale of the buildings and the streets and how comfortable it was to walk around.

ok...I'll stop...I would love to live there.
Where else did you guys travel around to while you were there?

Sienna - my second favorite city

Pisa - took a picture of the leaning tower and that was it

Cinque Terre/Santa Margarita/Portafino - Nice relaxing couple of days on the Italian Riviera. Great Seafood!

Venice - Touristy but a must see. Saw a great concerto there in an old church.

Rome - Colosseum was awesome as was the Vatican. Other wise I thought it was just another big city.

It was cold but we never had to wait in any lines like I hear happens during the busy season.

What separates the Italian Ice Cream from a Bryers type ice cream?

In other words, what makes it the bomb?

It's extremely dense because they add no air. It has a very rich and creamy taste.

It also has more milk and less cream than ice cream.

It's somewehere between sorbet and ice cream. Very flavorful, especially the fruit flavors, IMO.

We stayed five days in Florence (in a f'n fabulous palace--that's right, a PALACE--my wife bid on a luxurylink.com package). Then we traveled out to the Cinque Terre on the West coast to a town called Montorosso (sp?). It was okay, but going from Florance to a small beach vacation destination was a bit of a shock. On the way home we spent a night in Pisa, which I could have lived without.

I will return to Florence, though. I'd also like to visit more of the tuscany region like Siena. And Venice is also High on my list. But I don't like to rush around; I'd rather stay in one place for at least a week at a time to really soak it in.
