So two catches completely negates his entire season of bad play? It'll take a lot more than that for me to be convinced

I watched the game. He was impressive in parts. He had 2 catches where he smoked the defender. The rest of his game was special teams. He had 2 awesome returns. Other than that he was back to his regular self. I do think he has great potential & think he will get better with experience.
See Heyward-Bey.
You're talking about comparing a guy who didn't do much in college & was over drafted because he was a track guy by a Raiders team that always reaches in the draft, to a guy who was practically unstoppable in college? Lol
I think he's gonna be a star, but even if he isn't I think his career will be much more successful than Bey's.
I picked an awful time to give up on him in my fantasy league.
Like Bey, Austin will flash just enough to continue to get roster spots in this league but my guess is he will always under perform. He is just too small to physically win consistently in the NFL. Even today, in the best game of his career, 2 catches. We differ in opinion, but I am pretty confident in my personal opinion.
Imagine Austin in The Patriots, Broncos, Eagles, Packers, Bears offense. A QB, HC & OC who know how to use his skillset makes a difference. Not sure if Fisher & Schottenheimer have figured it out yet.
He might be minutely better but he still is just too small to work the middle of the field like he needs to. He gets knocked off too many routes too easily to be a consistent underneath threat. .

Maybe Should give some credit to mitch
