Prime Video‘s “Reacher” universe is expanding with the series order of a spinoff starring Maria Sten.
“The Untitled Neagley Project,” as the show is referred to in a press release, focuses on Sten’s Frances Neagley, a private investigator in Jack Reacher’s circle. “When she learns that a beloved friend from her past has been killed in a suspicious accident, she becomes hell bent on justice,” the show’s synopsis reads. “Using everything she’s learned from Jack Reacher and her time as a member of the 110 Special Investigators, Neagley puts herself on a dangerous path to uncover a menacing evil.”
Amazon MGM Studios head Jennifer Salke made the announcement at the Prime Video Presents: Trailblazers event on Tuesday in London, with Sten also on hand to share her excitement. “I love Neagley,” Sten told the audience. “She’s so fun to play, she’s so quirky and has so much complexity.”
