All because he was sick and didn't want to go through the whole fight scene

I dunno...episode 2 was a bit of a dud as well... the action was cool and all but as far as story goes it still seamed disjointed... characters passing around the "knowing" looks and such,..but...I dont know..
that one savior chick.... "oh god, they didnt HAVE to advance on us!"...then sits patiently while her buddy eats her throat?? wtf? we are a few years into zombieland now, and these experienced "fighters" aint thinking zombie every time they see someone die?
gimple was on TD after the show,....apparently the first four episodes are going to be like this.guess we just have to soldier through it.
now,...the baby. Wouldnt it be a cool twist if the baby belonged to dwights wife...and the saviors caught her and are using the baby to keep control of dwight,...so he betrayed the alexandria coalition....which is why so many of their targets are so lightly staffed...
or would that be too obvious?
and we already know... they will put all this work in to negan and by late season negan will hit back and have them all looking fuktPretty boring start to the season. It all feels very played out. It's like they want to drag out the Negan thing for the whole season so they don't have to come up with something new.

Where is the all out war.... and no negan last episode meh but sure show Rick exploring a empty house for 30 min... the ending was o k. Hoping for a better episode next weekend
apparently that guy is someone important from season 1??...and was I the only one expecting daryl to put a bolt through his nugget...ya know he is around there somewhereit was A TON of process... meaning, people walking round and gunfire for a long time that didn't move the needle.
I can't imagine what this script read like.
and why didn't that dude just kill rick?
I was thinking someone needs to get on with crucifying jesus.... dude wants to let everyone live....bad idea when the enemy has you outnumbered.Oh... and someone needs to kill Tara.
Like yesterday.

He left the group with his family in season one at the camp in the woods outside of Atlanta. he wasn't important per seapparently that guy is someone important from season 1??...and was I the only one expecting daryl to put a bolt through his nugget...ya know he is around there somewhere
SO... MANY... BULLETS......
All I can think about this season is how much ammunition is being expended. I'd estimate that somewhere between 10,000 and 50,000 rounds have been fired this season. Did Wal Mart re open? What are the makers of this show thinking am I just supposed to accept that and move on?
I'm sorry to be a party pooper, I just cant get past it. My brain can accept zombies, but unlimited ammo? It's like this series has turned into the movie Commando. ABSURD
Among all the other silly things that are happening, it's just so cringey to me to watch them firing thousands of rounds in every episode when just last season and the one before that, there was a narrative about how they were running out of bullets and needed to start making them.
The telegraphing of someone who is about to get killed has gotten really bad too. Was there any doubt that what happened at the end was going to happen? I mean they were like hammering it in with every long extended glance they shared. Cmon man. What happened to this show? It's like the writers are over it and just want to go home. They should get rid of them all. There's got to be thousands of hungry run writers out there who would love to write a plausible and compelling storyline for this formerly awesome show.
Yes and you could really see that in this episode. Jesus and Morgan swapped roles and now Jesus is the exact same character that Morgan was the past few seasons. Totally deluded and overly merciful. It was Dale before that. They just can’t get everyone on the same page, get a new storyline! But the show is much like the zombies in it... just ambling forward, doing the same thing, over and over and over again.
Another writer friend of mine and I talked about what we think is the biggest problem of this show... it's just that there's no endgame. The show now is simply just how do we survive the next bad group. I think you can only do that so many times before the story gets stale and they've been doing it with the Saviors now for THREE seasons.
And with their ratings, they can probably continue to do it for another 3 seasons before those ratings dip below profitability margins.
They need an endgame, IMO. Come across someone who's found a cure, find out that there's still some semblance of government/cdc and have to get that cure to the right people. Then, you could throw a bunch of bad guys in their way to overcome to get there.

Defeat Negan, create a good community, grow even larger and achieve peace on slice of earth with sweet fences that block all zombies?Another writer friend of mine and I talked about what we think is the biggest problem of this show... it's just that there's no endgame. I don't think no permanency is established. If the group was as big as it is now and kept growing without the threat of negan, they could survive forever at that point with that much collective manpower building a utopia impenetrable by the zombies. They have survived so long that they all know ways to defeat them and hold them back rather easily compared to before and as you built on that, you would likely be fine. This reminds me of the early CDC episode where that guy was trying to find a cure. I would have to imagine that at some point, a cure would be not only viable but be the most valuable thing in the world. What about tackling that? It would provide a purpose for people verses just surviving from group to group and sanctuary to sanctuary.
Isn't it well established now that there really is no home. No permanency?
Plus, it would be a cool story line in terms of maybe the group that owns the cure wants to use it to solidify their power or resources. Maybe they want to thin out the population to start over in society. So many story lines could come of that.
IMO that would be a fitting story arc for the series to end on.

Although I will have no problem with killing negan and then the homes being destroyed and finding somewhere else. The only thing I miss is zombie threats vs storm trooper gun fights against people.
