So... two characters are surrounded by walkers, have no way out, a bunch of walkers fall on top of them... cut to commercial and then they just randomly pop up in a scene later with no explanation how they survived?

I’d be laughed out of any writer’s room if that was my act four out and reveal for the end of the episode.

The Schmuckbait Act Out is just so annoying. These people are making WAYYYYYY too much money to write this lazily.

Really, man. I would have at least had them squirm under a dumpster first to make it more believable.

pretty sure rick getting detained was all part of the plan... trash people will go to the saviors to inform them of ricks capture...realize he told the truth,...and then agree to his deal

I just wish they would spend more time trying to find out if people are feeling conflicted about their actions in war and whether or not killing the Saviors is maybe not nice.

Rosita and the rocket launcher was pretty great. Dumb, but great.

Hmmm... so is Morgan done on the mothership Walking Dead and moving over full time to Fear? That would suck. He’s one of the few characters I like on the show even though they keep screwing with his character.

right?? I was disappointed in Maggie... she JUST told them as they were going in the cage she wouldnt stand for any poo,....then dude goes for the gun...and she just face checks him with the rifle...
right then and there she needed to shoot dude in the face... obvious trouble maker, makes a solid example that she aint effin with them...

when they send Morgan to cali they need to send Jesus with him... dude is gonna get people killed with his peace and love hippie ********.... right now my guess is he is going to help the saviors escape when Negan doesnt capture any of their people and it becomes evident they will have to be executed.

yeah... not much boom for an rpg...
and I guess it was the only one since they didnt have one when they had to chase the truck...

also,... how many times this season,...is someone who has zero idea whats going on,...going to randomly come out of nowhere and t-bone the saviors to stop them from escaping??
feels like it has happened in every episode so far...
that scene would have been better served by Rosita running out with another rpg and blasting the speaker truck, and Daryl pulling up just in time to see it blow...maybe the projectile flies over the hood of his truck, or right in front of him as he slams the brakes, the savior truck blows,..Daryl, "oh poo, that was close"... Tara,.."right?"

So... Rick’s plan was... literally nothing.

And the garbage people decided to do what they did for literally... no reason.

Honestly I like the walking dead but have just been disappointed by it so far I mean the unlimited ammo made by past robots I guess.... boring walking or talking scenes haven't seen much off the all out war.

I hope the next two season final episodes are good

Thought the Eugene and one of negan wife asking for radio to be fixed was funny.

I was okay with this episode. at least they didnt leave a hanger, like Rick being held captive by negan in his own home...even though I do wonder why he hiy negan with lucilles little end instead of brain bashing his ass...
the carl thing sucks.... but the bite didnt remove a chunk and is not all red and inflamed like they usually are...
perhaps Carl was bitten by a whisperer and isnt actually about to die at all??

There were so many MAJOR problems with this episode that Hitting Negan with the butt of the bat just made me laugh.

I have been a pretty big defender of Walking Dead in the past but the only real question I have about this season has been: what has been worse, the directing or the writing?... cuz man, they have both been pretty laughable.

can we throw in the editing as well? The entire season has been confusing as all get out as to what was happening when/where and why.

Also, gotta love that the last episode entirely focused on Rick getting the trash people to rally for him... gave no reason why they would... and then they just disappeared within 5 seconds of the next episode.

So many poor choices on so many levels... is there a new showrunner this year or something? Walking Dead has had its ups and downs but this season seems like a different kind of bad.

Don’t think so, but agree. This show is next level bad now. I watch purely for train wreck value at this point.

I just re watched from the beginning... it is so disappointing...season 6, right before negan showed up is when the show was at its best.
Negan is supposed to be the greatest nemisis the group has ever faced. But somehow the show writers managed to completely screw the pooch on the entire Negan thing. The show has done nothing but nose dive ever since Negan showed up.
I like JDM... but right now he stands as the guy who killed the walking dead
