I'm just making this up so....

Maybe a bite is the catalyst of the transformation when still alive. Dieing on your own (starvation, etc) would allow the final process for the infection to run its course...

That is what I always assumed.

Maybe I haven't been paying close enough attention, but I am confused about something. If they are all infected with the virus, why does it matter if someone gets bitten? Why would a zombie bite kill you (and then turn you into a zombie) if you are already infected anyway?

It was mentioned twice (I believe) in the first season. Episode one and the next to last show mentioned an incredibly "high fever" was associated with people who were bit but escaped being eaten to death/die immediately from blood loss.

Bites = severe infection = high fever = death

Death = turning into zombie.

This would be a wonderful, 100% correct answer if they didn't show dead people in vehicles that didn't become zombies in the first episode of the second season. Still can't figure that one out. Its right up there with - How do you get a head-shot everytime on a moving target while firing from a speeding, turning vehicle on an uneven dirt road, at night?

All the virus does is animate the dead. It's not an active infection per se where you die from it; you die of other causes, and the virus animates you.

As soon as my contract runs out in 2 more months, I'm bouncing DISH. I've had it with them. So tired of them and their b.s. programming. All they ever do is run a new network, you enjoy said network and they replace it after 1 month with channel 113....the cooking network. I have gone month to month with having 113 to not having 113. Everytime I get 113 I ask myself "what did they cut now?"

Screw DISH. They seriously crapped on the one channel that brought how many Emmy's? (Mad Men, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead). Screw them.

Couldn't watch any of the Coyotes playoff games last year either because they dumped VS.

Stupid effin' DISH.

Not everyone was infected... In season two they came across two guards that died but didn't re-animate. So they weren't infected...

Also like the dude in the truck in season one. He starved to death because he was to scared to get out. That is also where they found all the cool Gerber hack-n-slash gear!!!

My second favorite zombie is the gasmask zombie. When Rick(??) pulls the mask off and all the flesh comes with it was awesome!!!

I'm talking about the two bodies Rick and Shane were looking at out in the yard (season two). They may not have been guards (I thought they were). They were looking at them because they didn't have any head trauma...

I could have sworn those were the ones they just killed. I could be wrong, but they made it seem that way to me.

I'm guessing the baby is going to die. But not turn. Then they'll assume that the infection is not passed on. Just a wild theory, I have no evidence to back it up. Hershel said the human race always finds a way to survive extinction events though...

There no character on that show whos likeable or you feel any connection to. Asian dude is pretty funny. The dude from the Boondock saints is entertaining.

But they are very cool. I have a feeling the shows inconsistent with their lore. Like remember when they covered themselves in Zombie goo in order to sneak out of that department store. And they were doing just fine till it srtated raining and it washed the camo off.

Im guessing that probably hasnt been explored as an option since.

Also, in order to keep the series fresh, have they started introducing new zombie types? Like Super tough zombie or runs really fast zombie? Or Malibu Zombie.


The plot. Awesome. The makeup, amazing. The characters and cast is just so bleedin terrible I cant stand it.

The main dude. The cop. Awful .Non likeable. Dont care if he died already.

Just because theres other zombies near doesnt mean zombies cant smell humans from far away. Like why would zombies go into swarm mode on people, if they were surrounded by 100's of ther zombies? They wouldnt be able to detect them.

Thats like having a fresh pie next to a burining scented candle.

You can smell both.

But if you Cover the pie, then you only smell the candle.


Logically, having zombies with you all the time does nothing. They dont cover your scent, not to mention zombies can see you leading zombies around. Its not like your body is camo'd

Skunk scent covers your scent... I would think having two zombies to cover your scent would work as long as they are closer than zombies that can eat you...

And if they have these captive zombies and skunk scent to cover them, how come the group is being chased by zombies in every AMC commerical I see?

Skunk scent was an example of covering your own scent... My bad...

There are two groups now... The blonde is with the samurai and the rest are with Sheriff Rick...

You can apprently walk right through a big group of them and wont get noticed.


Instead they choose to run in fear everywhere and hope to not get attcked?

Because then the show would be boring... The way they looked in episode 301 they can't smell much different then the walking dead anywho...

I do. Simply because she walked into the herd chasing Andrea and saved her without attracting zombies to herself. The scene implied (to me anyways) they were a type of bodyguard.
