I liked his elevator/fart joke quite a bit in the first movie.

I just watched Wolverine: Origins. Or whatever it is called. Terrible movie.

Hugh Jackman cannot act.

I question his acting.

I think I had too high of standards for him in a comic book movie. :)

He is an okay actor. Could be way worse.

I hope your embarrassed face was because of your terrible previous comments! (Have you seen Real Steel yet?)

I just watched this. Wolverine is one of the best superheros out there. Probably my favorite.

Jackman is a master of his craft for sure. Did a fantastic job of getting himself ready for this film, especially after coming off of Les Miserables.

Solid film. A little slow for a while, but it dives pretty deep into Wolverine's feelings about immortality.

One minor beef on this movie, though..... If you're going to incorporate actual history into a movie, at least make it remotely accurate. On the Nagasaki bombing:

Movie: Two planes
Historical: One plane

Movie: Planes at about 2000 feet
Historical: Plane at about 29000 feet

Movie: Nice day
Historical: Very cloudy day

Movie: Bomb detonated on impact
Historical: Bomb detonated at 1640 feet.

Hate to be picky, but these are not exactly inconsequential differences ( not to mention that anyone looking at the detonation would have been blinded)

Nonetheless..... Great movie!

Eh, entertaining film. The villainess chick was just a hot cardboard cutout, the payoff villain was just sadly obvious, and some of the action sequences were long and incredibly stupid and boring. Now, when they were diving into his feelings on mortality, and focusing on the actual story, yeah, it was really good.

This movie fell into the same trap a lot of bad action movies fall into. Too much silly action drowning out the story. So instead of an awesome movie, it ended up being an okay movie I'll never buy, or probably ever watch again. Still worth the price of admission, though.

I heard on the How Did This Get Made Podcast that Real Steel was just another version of Over the Top with Stallone. So no, I haven't. :)

I can understand that. Part of the problem is that Jackman's acting was diminished in comparison by the tour de force performance by Ryan Reynolds in that same comic book movie. It's hard to shine when you're standing next to the sun.

It almost sounds like you think that's a bad thing. :D

I thought this was decent. Was stronger earlier in the movie than later.

Liked the tie in Days of Future Past

Totally agree.

An OK movie that was very predictable with too many over the top action sequences. But I also agree that at times it was really good.

Oh and Jean Grey in a nightgown looked fantastic! They needed more dream sequences with her!
