Question is can they afford Wisniewski & Iupati along with some other pieces they are looking for (OLB & ILB)? Unless they plan on addressing the LB needs, CB & RB in the draft.

I think they really want to give Bethel his shot at it this season. Powers is the back up plan. Badger in the slot again. Don't see them addressing it in FA, maybe later in the draft like Bethel a few years ago or Toler in like the 4th Rd. Someone to take Bethel's place as gunner for the time being.

The reason why he has hung on so long is that he is smart and almost never calls the wrong protections. However, he's always been physically limited. I'm glad we are finally going to address his spot. For an UDFA, he did very well, but time to upgrade, and I've felt like that the last three or four years.
Besides, he's at EIGHT seasons now, going into his ninth, so he's starting to get long in the tooth.

Yeah...Boling isn't the best guy available, but I don't believe there is a huge dip between him, Iupati, and Franklin.
I do believe Rodney Hudson is the best C available, and he would be a definite upgrade over Sendlein.

Hudson is going to be expensive. I think we could sign both Stefen Wisniewski AND Clint Boling for about the price we would have to pay for Hudson. The fact that we already have a inroad to the Raiders with Palmer and Veldheer will help. You are right about Boling. He is nearly on the same level with Iupati and Franklin. He played very well in 2014, especially blasting holes in the run game. I don't think he will be hurt as much as Iuapti, nor will he get flagged as often as Franklin. Wisniewski and Boling would be my C/G combo of choice.

I agree with K9, Iupati doesn't really fit our system.
All things considered, if we were able to secure both Stefen Wisnieski and Orlando Franklin our line would be in really good shape...especially if Cooper can get his act together.

I am good with getting o-line in free agency. You can sign someone that you KNOW is good. O-line rookies usually take a while.

I highly doubt that, Catfish, but I really think those two (or Wisniewski and Iupati for that matter) would solidify the offensive line for years. I think you could plug those two in right away, and for the last spot you could start Cooper, Watford, Fanaika, Larsen or more or less any other player, and he would still be the weakest link.
I agree with those posters who has said that it would be worth is to spend big in free agency on offensive linemen. Not only can the Cardinals supposedly not figure out how to draft or develop them but I also think it is worth it to give Carson Palmer and all the running backs the best possible benchmark to succeed. This could be the year.
