Kingsbury believes in getting his best athletes the ball in space as quickly as possible. The key to these plays working is a quick release from the quarterback, as well as accuracy to hit the receivers with ball placement that allows for forward momentum.

The most impressive thing about Kingsbury’s adaptations is how he is able to adjust his play-calling around his own and opposing personnel. His offense looked different from Case Keenum to Johnny Manziel to Patrick Mahomes. Additionally, there were instances of attacking weak spots of the defense on a weekly basis.

There a lot of videos of Kingsbury on YouTube. Everyone of them he seems to relate to the players and is always coaching...yes I understand these are team produced videos but from what I see I like. He seems to be very much involved with his QBs.

I just don't trust him when it comes to the defense which is why it is imperative the organization surrounds him with the right defensive coaching staff.

I hope the search to identify WRs to fit this offense will begin soon. The current cast with the exception of Kirk and Fitz (if he returns) are presently lacking on the roster.

I remember when McCoy said that is what he was going to do.
McCoy didn't do that in San Diego despite having a bona fide franchise QB, or during his second go around with the Broncos, so what CKK has done, does exactly that. The question is, will it work and for how long (or can he adjust to outpace DCs?)

LOL

In reality, the reverse happened - McCoy was the Cards' offensive weak point, and defenses exploited that fact, with great success.

One thing that I think HAS to happen with KK's offense is it has to be slowed down. Chip Kelly proved the fatal flaw in these hurry up-type college offenses - your defense winds up spending WAY too much time on the field, even when the offense is moving reasonably well. That flat-out doesn't work in the NFL.

I would be shocked if Fitz doesn't come back. He might have a late career resurgence never seen before. I could see Fitz being motivated to do just that.

I also think Larry will come back. he likes his numbers, and the "with a single team" records he has would benefit from another season or two. with modern offenses, WR records are going to fall... but free agency will make it hard for guys to attack the single team records even if they pass him in receptions overall.

I think he will eventually, but it might be a few weeks before he decides. Last season had to be incredibly discouraging.

Agreed. The easy fix for Kelly or for dingleberry going forward, you can run the same offense, just don't snap the ball in 8 seconds. If dingleberry wants to run a no huddle, shotgun, air raid, QB calls the play type of offence, he can. Rosen can line everyone up, change the play, yell hut a few times and maybe even change the play again. Sometimes run it down to 8 seconds, sometimes snap it immediately. I would think we could cause a lot of offside penalties doing something like that.

One challenge KK will have to overcome with Rosen is his lack of mobility.

The QB running is another threat needed to keep defenses honest.

Did you trust Arians' with the 'D'?

I didn't because it simply wasn't his expertise.

I'm concerned with mobility in the pocket. Who is the better athlete - Rosen, Palmer or Warner?

How much running do you see out of Mahomes, Goff etc., etc.?

He didn't announce he was coming back until after Wilks was hired and that was right before the Super Bowl. I would expect a similar timeline this year.

That's how Goff is handling McVay's offense.

At Texas Tech in KK offense. Check out the yards and TD's for Mahomes.

KK also made Davis Webb work who is a statue and even less athletic than Rosen. For Mahomes he designed more rollouts and sprint options, while with Davis Webb this was replaced with increased RB usage and quick screens. Also a nice fact about the way KK spreads out the defense, quick bubble screens are almost guaranteed to go for positive yardage and can substitue at least some of the run game if we have troubles on the ground.

I think Rosen lacks body control as he was never used as a runner because of his arm talent. But when you watch him turning on the jets he has decent enough legs to scramble for a couple of first downs per game. Remember he was a tennis player.
