I still call yhou an idiot for calling for him to be cut midseason. There is not a better unemployed kicker. There's just not.
I will accept this post as a complement to my idea of cutting Rackers since it comes from a guy who spells "you" with an "h".

You get crap for the title of this thread.

So because we have defended Rackers in the past, this loss was for us?

Shame on you.
It was more along the lines of a "hey, this beer's for you", not like I was blaming you for the loss. Because you supported him in the past you are wrong and should admit it. Thats what men do when they're wrong, which all of us are from time to time. I don't really feel like I was asking too much, when all I wanted was an apology from all of the people who told me to shut up so far this season when I said Neil sucked.

Yes there is, somewhere in South America, who has kicked a round soccer ball all of his life.
Why go that far. If you dont think there are guys who can consistantly hit from the 40's then there is no use wasting my time on you. I wasn't even good enough to kick FGs for any college, but can still nail it from 35+ with the wall infront of me any day of the week. You guys are really giving this job anbd the skill required to execute it correctly way to much credit DCR.

I definitely got a different vibe than that.

We can agree that Rackers sucks, or that he should go. But to cut him without an adequate replacement (bringing in a soccer player isn't adequate) is stupid.

You want to bring in Vanderjagt, I have no problem with that.

Honestly, I really dont care if Gabe Watson is the kicker for the rest of the year. Our season is over, so it doesn't matter IMO who the kicker is. But to let Neil remain on the team sends the wrong message to the remaining players IMO. Rackers cannot cut it and it is impossibile to win a Super Bowl with a guy who dies in the clutch as your kicker. If we have no shot at the SB then why try for anything other than good draft position.

I also think some of you guys are being a bit too naive when you are saying that there is no competent guy out there. Rob Bironas was out on the street for the last 5 years. I am sure there are many kickers in the league who are successfull today, but have been out of work for atleast 1 season.

I have supported Rackers all year. I don't know at this point how vocal I was on it, but I have felt the bashing was unnecessary.

Rackers sucks balls. He is the biggest loser I have ever freaking seen, and I swear, with all of you as my witness, I would not shed one tear for him if he were to be hit by a bus & have a career ending injury. I might even be secretly a little giddy knowing that we would be FORCED to replace him.

He sucks, sucks, and then he sucks some more. He's more effective than a Dyson. He sucks so much he could get a golf ball through a mile of garden hose. He sucks so much straight men wish he'd go gay.

I hate him.

I KNEW we would lose this game--all of last week I knew we'd lose. I didn't want to say it out loud. Then those freaking bastards gave me hope, and Rackers smashed it all into little tiny pieces with his suckage. I hope he rots.

Rackers ducked the post-game presser, as did Q.

Way to face the music, cowards.

I'm getting angrier about it all the more I have time to sit & stew. I'm on the VERGE of subscribing to the Shane rule, for those of you that know what that is, and the implications therein.

It's ugly over here right now.

Absolutely agree. Boldin is not, and hasn't been this mythical character that a lot of you have made him out to be.

Oh boy.
I agree 100%. My father told me yesterday afternoon that he had a dream that we traded Q and JJ on draft day for the rights to McFadden. He want to post how sad he was to wake up and find out it wasn't true but didn't feel like hearing everyone blast him. After yesterday's game I am convinced that Fitz is a top 3 WR and would love to see that trade made.

Nobody ever thought he was. That was just something we did because we had nothing else to cheer about. Now the Cardinal Way is wearing him down as well. Just as it has so many talented players before him.

Now of course Q will have a huge day against the Browns.

That doesn't say much about him though. Every wideout in the league has a big day against them. I just hope Green, Wilson and Francisco are back for the game. If they are I think we win.

Fitz has been twice the receiver Anquan has been this year.

Somewhere K9 is having a good chuckle. He warned us about extending Rackers saying he never did anything in the clutch and consistently said Fitz was bette than Q. Both points are dead on right now. The guy could've found a better way to express his thoughts, but he did know his football.

I agree. I wanted to strangle him at times, but the board was better w/ him IMO.

Fitz is great but let's not forget Anquan is playing hurt, he's better than he's shown his problem is he just can't seem to stay healthy. IF we assume that's a function of the way he plays, he probably never will be 100% healthy again.

Fitz has been amazing in recent weeks though without a doubt our best WR right now that hail mary catch was beyond description.

I was listening on the radio last night when the Rackers missed the FG. All I can remember was Wolf saying that he would be more comfortable seeing Rackers kick a 26-27 yard FG as opposed to the 32 yarder he ended up kicking, and missing.

Unbelievable.

Q is playing hurt. It has been reported that he probably shouldn't even be playing, but he is gutting it out every week. I think people are a little quick to trash Q right now. It's pretty obvious he is not the same Boldin we all have come to know.

Rackers is finished. People haven't mentioned in the aftermath about how in the third quarter Whis decided to go for it on 4th and 5 instead of having Neil try a 51 yard attempt. We eventually got a false start and punted but the point remains: the coaching staff has lost faith in the kicker. If we can't trust our kicker, special teams captain, and one of the team's highest paid players to make a 51 yard indoor kick then he needs to be cut ASAP.

Losing in a Cardinalish way is always good for entertaining rants on this board.

I completely agree. There have been numerous times this season where the team has opted to go for a fourth and short situation rather than let Rackers kick a FG. I think there is no question the coaching staff has zero faith in him.

I'm sick to death if seeing him miss FG's that most average kickers can make consistently. I have defended Rackers long enough, not on these boards, but with friends. I can't do it anymore. Later Neil.
