This may be the worst WR group we've had in some time.

yep Centers played hard and was a great guy but when it's 3rd and 8 and you catch a 7 yard pass and punt, that's not good offense and that's what those offenses were.
or third and 18...he would catch a 2 yard outlet and carry defenders 15 yars...and wind up a yard short

Is there anyone out there on the waiver wire or about to be a last-minute cut that could step in and upgrade our WR group?

Brandon Marshall??

From Rotoworld....
Brandon Marshall - WR - Seahawks
ESPN's Brady Henderson projects the Seahawks to release Brandon Marshall.

Marshall has actually been drawing strong reviews in practice, but Henderson believes the Seahawks will opt to go younger before possibly re-signing Marshall after Week 1, when his $1.105 million contract would no longer be guaranteed. Marshall is probably most closely battling Amara Darboh.

I'm still waiting for all these people who are saying "over-reaction" and "don't hit the panic button" to name a group that this unit is better than historically.

It's difficult to argue that this isn't one of the five worst WR groups in the NFL.

Dude. Our number one WR is one of the greatest of all time, and caught the second most passes in the league last year... mostly from Drew Stanton and Blaine Gabbert. That alone means we’ll be mostly alright.

That’s not saying we don’t have a need for talent next year, but come on.

Great. He caught a ton of balls for the 25th-ranked scoring offense in the NFL and the 27th-ranked passing offense by DVOA. All is well; this group is fine.

Larry is a stud.
I love me some Larry.

Other than Larry and his holy studness....our future and present at the WR position relies upon our youth.

Kirk has shown some potential.....well, flashed some potential...

Chad Williams looks like an nfl player this year....finally....keep in mind he had more catches this pre season than he had all of last season.

agudosi still hasnt developed

I really like Tolliver but he will probably lose out to the guys who have experience.

Little is a keim guy for some reason...apparently keim tried to get him last year but when they called he wasnt in shape

Kirk and chad williams

Little is gone, which is no surprise, but Brice Butler got cut. So we have an UDFA, a 3rd-round reach near bust, JJ Nelson, Christian Kirk, and Fitz. Oof! That's godawful.

There will be someone new on the roster shortly at the WR position.

It's surprising that in the off season the vet WR they went after was Brice Butler, and that was it

At least they recognized their error before the season started.

We’re gonna roll with what we’ve got. We have more dead money than we do cap space. Dez ain’t coming for less than 6-7 mil.

Doesn’t matter anyways, we have a dink/dunk offense. Run, run, short pass/screen, punt. We don’t need that many receivers.

Who is out there, at this point, that will be any better than what we have? We've left it far, far too late.

You are not going to find an immediate starter. However they should have no problem finding someone better than the Greg Littles of the world.

Perriman was cut by the Ravens. He is a bigger stronger version of JJ Nelson and he looked solid this preseason. I’d add him or replace Nelson with him.

After Fitz none of our receivers hauled in more than 33 catches...

I don't think our receivers are going to be a strength but I do expect them do be more productive than last season's mess, even if it is purely because of more competent QB play or simply by default.

Hmm, Kirk, Chad, & Sherfield are all 23 or younger. I’m actually looking forward to watching them play just off youth alone.
and Tolliver is on the PS...IMO he was better than sherfield..

we have some young talent...just have to wait and see how they develop..

chad williams looked light years ahead of where he was at last season...hope it transfers to regular season play for him
