The Suns have never won a championship? I'm pretty sure they won a couple with Marbury or Llamas.
Let's see, Marbury won 2 or 3 championships in China and Horacio won, what? I guess he won Hamlet's friendship while they both matriculated at Pima College or Wittenburg U or wherever they went but I think he's like the Suns, still title-less.

Didnt Oliver Miller win the Suns a Nathan's Famous Hot Dog eating championship? I think he did. ;) No one said anything about NBA Championships, just Championships in general.

I don't mind bringing back most of the same core, but with upgrades over Payne and Shamet, and replacing Crowder as the starter at PF.

Luckily it doesn't take a lot to improve over Cam Payne's production over the latter part of the season.

Shamet is a backup shooting guard so I can live with that.

Let's add some play makers in the off season and go from there. Maybe there is a trade to be made or the Suns get lucky in free agency.

Now I see why we went for Holiday and Peyton. Monty was trying to get the playmaking scorer type players on the roster. Holiday, I am guessing was too small for our switching defense. Peyton played good defense, he just didn't do the playmaking/scoring part. So I am guessing those two may be gone/replaced. Funny, Ish being a big man was a better playmaker/scorer. I imagine he's here next season unless we need a throw in on a trade. Not sure at this point if we bring McGee and Bismack back. If they remain cheap contracts, I could see it. I could also see bringing in two younger bigs, too.

Yeah, I think Payton and Holiday are gone but it's hard to find a better third or fourth point than Holiday unless Monty is intent not to use him.

I don't think the Suns will be looking to pay backup centers big money.

Holiday is not a PG. He plays there because of his size but he's an undersized SG who is really more of a defensive specialist than an offensive threat.

I hope he's replaced this off-season and we add a legit 3rd PG, someone to challenge Cam Payne for playing time. I don't care if it's a veteran, rookie, or younger player but we need an upgrade over Holiday and Payton.

Monty certainly doesn't seem inclined to play Holiday so it's best to find someone he will.

As far as I'm concerned, the Suns need a more consistent backup point guard than Payne. I'd move him down the depth chart to 3rd or 4th.

Maybe Payne can replace Payton on the depth chart.

And just who do you think this team is going to get and pay.

We all knew what Holiday was when we brought him in but keep in mind our biggest need had been backup shooting guard. We needed a PG right at that moment but the SG need had been there all season long given Shamet's struggles.

Of course, Landry started showing better once we added Aaron. Holiday is and has always been a combo guard and I guess Monty saw no need for him once Shamet finally made a basket. Personally I'd like to keep Holiday as a 3rd string guard but given that Monty has clearly shown an unwillingness to go that deep in the postseason, I can't see Aaron or Bismack willing to come back.

I can see Bismack returning but that's if we choose him over McGee. I think that is a choice for the front office to make. Biyombo is likely cheaper and doesn't have the energy of JaVale but I'd be fine with either of them. Having both was a luxury. The only way we retain both is if we let Ayton walk and don't get a Center in return.

I agree with Holiday for the most part.

I’m glad to hear JJ sounds like he’s keeping things together. Despite the frustration it doesn’t really seem smart to even halfway rebuild before CP’s status changes.

Speaking of frustration, I see all the same flaws in Ayton but he might actually be the last player I trade. Now Booker may be an exception based on his potential lifetime Sun resume. I *want* to say that Bridges is the last player I’d trade because I like his good games the most. I just see Ayton being a big man who doesn’t break down as soon as others. Of course they still have to match Ayton even if they don’t want to trade him.

I already almost anticipating the first game of next season. Though honestly I’m eastern time zone with young kids so I’ll hopefully enjoy the sleep for a bit.

Yeah I just don't think our fixes are simple or even achievable unless we simply roll it back. Bring 'em all back and hope that Cam J builds on where he was prior to the injury in the Knicks game.

Bring Cam P back and cross your fingers that not only will he make it all the way back from injury but that he'll stay that way. Re-sign the two backup bigs (if they'll sign) and either re-sign Holiday or find a two way combo guard that Monty will trust.

I honesty just don't see the value in trading DA unless we're clearing the books and trading everyone we can. Except Bridges. I keep him even if we're tearing it all down and starting from scratch.

I think Ricky is looking to play in Europe but if healthy, I'd consider him for the mininum.

I agree... if he's reasonably healthy and would be willing to sign for vet minimum (or thereabouts), he would definitely be a superior backup PG option to what we currently have, at least for next season.

He was so damn good for that stretch.

Man he looked like he had totally broken out and was reaching the height of his powers in that Knicks game and then nothing once he came back.
