ANother big win in a game that winds up much closer than it should be.

We just don't seem to know how to use the clock on offense, that last drive before DRC's pick there's no way they should get the ball before the 2 minute warning let alone with 2:12. ANd then to top it off Kurt got a delay of game costing us 5, DRC really saved the day.

Warner was mostly brilliant, the INT was one of those go for the big play mentality picks but beyond that he played well.

I readily admit, I don't get the tuck rule, why was Kurt's fumble not exactly the same as Romo? TO me he started to throw, TUCKED it, and then got hit as he was getting ready to throw again. What they said in the Dallas game was once Romo tucked the ball, there tuck rule is in effect so why did the review not overturn that? The announcers seemed to agree it was a fumble so I guess I just don't grasp the tuck rule?

JJ had a nice game they basically got 2 TD's by tricking Seattle, run when they looked pass, and then pass when they thought it was a run.

It wasn't a tuck because Warner had started to reload for a second time and got the ball knocked out before his arm came forward.

We did make some mental errors the last time we had the ball. Boldin should've stayed inbounds at all costs too. But....

I love DRC getting the clinching pick. I think all he needed was confidence. Expect more big plays from this kid the rest of the year. I'll take that ending over the O getting a first down and then taking knees.

Meh I don't completely blame Dansby on that play. How often do you think coaches teach ball security to LBs? It was just a goofy play.

Let's face it; we are usually the ones attempting to go down the field to score a touchdown to win the game. Stressful win? Yes, but it feals good, no fantastic, to be on the other side of these wins.

The biggest difference in this team compared to teams of the past is we OVERCOME the mistakes and the adversity.

That is instilled in this team. It means we will never quit nor will we ever believe we are out of any game we play.

That may be Whiz's greatest accomplishments.

I find watching the game is so stressful that when we win it takes a couple of hours before I feel good about it. You sit back and think, how the heck did we win that game when the SeaHawks were going so strong in the fourth quarter? And when will we start making some good punt returns? It always seem like we are starting on our five yard line. Stress on the old ticker, not sure that I can hold on till the playoffs.

NO lead is EVER safe in the NFL...

We see a 12 pt. lead and think, Hey, we're Home-Free. The players see the same score and say, (2) scores and we WIN!! I've learned NOT to celebrate too soon. BUT I've also watched enough football over the years to know that somehow, someway--GOOD teams find ways to WIN. ...And in the end that's all that matters. It's like a dribbler in baseball that's legged-out for a hit. The next day's box-score reads "hit". PERIOD! GO CARDS! KEEP WINNING!!

These guys have nothing on the old Cardiac Cards. Still a lot to like. That is far and away the best game I've seen the Seattle defense play and yeah I know they "gave up" a lot of passing yards. They haven't played with that much intensity and fire in any of the games I've seen them play. Yet our guys persevered and won this game despite the 12th man.

In regards to Anquan Boldin, we probably lose this game if not for him. PAY THE MAN!!

I've said this several times but Whiz has done for us what Howland did for UCLA when he replaced Lavin. They had talent but when the going got tough, under Lavin the teams quit, under Howland they don't.

Same here, under Green and just about everyone else, when something went wrong the players said "here we go again" and often laid down, Whiz is not allowing that and the players have bought in.

We could have easily lost the last 2 games but didn't because we didn't quit.

You look back at how long it took the Rams to punch it in there late on a couple of redzone stands, it seemed like it didn't matter at the time because they scored, but in the end it had a lot to do with us winning. When Seattle got the ball back, they knew they had just the 2 minute warning, no timeouts, and Hasselbeck had to take a shot and DRC made the pick.

I THINK he thought if he just turned on the jets and jumped he had a chance to get the first down, but he was like 7 yards short he may have forgotten about the 5 yard penalty moving the ball back? But yeah, has to stay inbounds there.

The final 10 minutes of the game were so stressful that I kept switching to C-Span (because I couldn't bear to look).

Often, it's easier to learn harsh lessons after a win than a loss (because, when you lose, everyone's so defensive that they can't accept or process criticisim).

There were at least a few mistakes that Cardinal players can learn from:

- The Dansby fumble (Did anyone else notice that as DRC was about to run down the sideline after his second pick, Antrel Rolle herded him like a border Collie and appeared to tell him to drop to the ground to avoid the possibility of a fumble)? Apparently a lesson learned.

- Just before halftime, in Seattle territory with just under 3-minutes til halftime, I'm silently yelling at the TV screen: "Don't do anything dumb! Just make sure you put at least 3 points more on the board!" But no-o-o! Warner throws a pick. Seattle eventually scores. Their fans are back in the game.

- Our special teams allow Wilson to return a kickoff 56 yards in the 3Q (and are lucky some if it was nullified by a roughing call on Seattle). Eventually (despite Dansby's "almost" heroics) they score.

- Then Warner - who has been rumored to (a) not have eyes in the back of his head and (b) lack Jesse Hester speed - pumps once too often and has the ball stripped early in the 4Q. Seattle scores and makes things close.

Ball protection and lapses in concentration at crunch time - those are the things that can cause you to lose. Obvious lessons at crunch time or when protecting a lead: (1) be more conscious of protecting the ball and (2) be mentally alert - especially on pass, kick and punt coverage.

If all of our guys can just do that, the Cards absolutely can be an elite NFL team.
