sometimes you see players with a knack for the game that just goes beyond any coaching. Manziel has it at the college level, and the Honey Badger clearly has it for the NFL level. I was thrilled when we drafted him, and I'm even more thrilled after that game saving tackle today.

I love the kid, it's so unusual for me to be happy at drafting a kid with his history but he's just such a great player.

This. Whether it plays out well or not, I'm glad we've given him the chance. He's just a lot of fun to watch out there - almost always in the right place at the right time.

Why would he bother? He was to busy rooting for the Lions. Every time they made a great play, he was singing their praises and every time they made a bad play, he defended them.

I just hate when an announcer roots for the other team.

That's funny, because I'm under the expression that he was praising the Cardinals the most.

He kept going on about Arians and taking chances the entire game.

That's what I heard as well. Evans was Mr. positive for both teams and tried to highlight the positives for both.

Have to agree. I didn't detect any anti-Cardinal bias from Evans. That was a refreshing change-of-pace.

Tyrann Mathieu made some nice plays yesterday. Hope he continues on the straight-and-narrow and proves Bill Polian and 31 NFL teams foolish for not drafting him. :D

His style is different but his instinct as a DB is 100% Polamalu. Absolutely love watching him play.

Get DWash back and this defense is an elite pass rusher away from being legendary.

Give another week or two to let this team jell and I do believe John Abraham might start to make a real impact. Bowles needs to figure out how to best use him.

Kid's a baller. I have stayed away from the jersey thing for many years now due to age and the NFL roster turnover but may make an exception here.

:) I only got an Adrian Wilson jersey after he left. I get the credit for him being around for so long.

He even referred to the Lions as "we" at one point.

Imagine all the turnovers we'd get if we had Mathews and Antron on the field at the same time.

Agreed. I keep watching that last play over and over. He was able to change momentum so quickly and close on the ball so fast. Then he instinctively leveraged the tackle away from the first down marker. You can't think those things through that quickly, its just incredible football instincts.

he was on 620 yesterday and it still calling him tyron. He is also going to be calling our game for the third week in a row. No one redirected him on how to say it.
