That is not what I said. You made an assumption.

I said that punishing Vick for his wanton killing of animals is the correct action. Allowing others to get away with the wanton killing of animals is not.

That is where the racism lies.

But from a morale aspect is it not wrong to torture creatures with malicious intent? The Vick case was not an instance of killing for food, clothing, etc - but for his own pleasure.

This is somewhat along the lines of what I am saying.

Killing for pleasure is wrong wether it is the "sport" of dog fighting, the "sport" of bullfighting, the "sport" of cockfighthing, or the "sport" of recreational hunting.

It's all people killing animals for pleasure. The result at the end is a dead animal. The only difference is the race/culture of those doing the killing.

Hey along these lines, Canada's "Great Seal Hunt" begins next month. That is where people paid by the Ministry of Fishing go out and club baby seals to death so the fishermen catch more fish.

Thousands of seal pups die during this time and no one cares.
