Thoughts On McCracken

This guy HAS to go. I am pretty sure he is pretty close to batting under .200....I think LT can be our future CF, he has really came along the week or so before he went on DL. What are your thoughts on Q?

In the past, my thoughts about Q...

-Not a stat guy. His stats are worthless
-More of a clubhouse veteran
-Clutch hitter
-Gives you his all

Totally agree.........but he hasnt really had any clutch hits this season...but previous seasons here he had some BIG ones

The idea of 'catching lightning in a bottle' is that it happens ONCE - Q had a year where he made some really big plays/hits. To think he can continue to do it regularly is faulty reasoning.
That, btw, is where stats are not meaningless. To take someone's career year (or an aberrant couple months) and say, 'that's what he is,' and ignore years and years of mediocre stats - and then say 'his stats don't matter' is just foolish. (see also: Baerga year 1 vs. 2)

We have enough crusty, warm clubhouse veterans, anyway.
