Thoughts on the Defense.

When you have problems like these this far into the season I am going to venture this is a personnel problem more than a coaching problem. This is usually an indicator that you have personnel that either just don't absorb what is being taught to them or they just free lance too much which leads to more mistakes and blown coverage than there should be.

There has to be a way to make them understand who covers who in pass coverage. Guys run wide open on almost every pass play. They can't stop a TE or a simple screen pass. Even an average DC could get something out of nothing, VJ isn't average imo.

That's the difference between good coaches and not so good coaches. The good ones no one can figure out and the not so good ones everyone figures out.

Is there a category below the not so good ones? If so then we have the #1 guy in that category as our DC lol.

The jags will most likely be cutting Campbell this offseason for cap purposes. Bring him back?

Vance seems like a great guy, but this defense is atrocious. Regardless of personnel, his job is to get the best out of these players, scheme around their weaknesses and maximize their strengths...To me our personnel on D is lacking talent but we should by no means be ranked 32nd in any categories.

We have Chandler Jones as a pass rusher, Jordan Hicks at LB, and quality talent like PP, Byron Murphy & Baker roaming the backfield... I’m sorry but figure it out...No one expects top 10 but c’mon Vance can’t you have as as like the 25 ranked D?
