...until the next winning streak begins. I'm pumped, I'm wearing various jerseys for the rest of the week, and I'm looking for incentive.

Speaking of which, courtesy of the Detroit Free Press:
Sunday's 44-7 win over Denver also gives them their first three-game winning streak since November 2000. Can they make it their first four-game streak since 1999?

Uh, yeah, they are playing at Arizona next, where the Cardinals will be looking for their fourth straight loss. And coincidentally, the last time the Lions scored 40 points was against the Cardinals, 42-24 in the 2003 season opener.
They've gone from wanting Millen's head for fielding perennial losers to assuming road victories.

I'd sure like to see them taken down a notch.

Why wouldn't they think the Lions could win here?

But, if the team is as overconfident as the newspaper is, we'll have a decent chance to pull an upset.

Aren't we still the favorites?

I don't care what the betting line is. Compare the teams over the last month and clearly Detroit has been better. Most "experts" will solidly pick against us, I believe.

Most experts, aren't really experts at all.

Detroit will be difficult to beat, even at home. Again, the biggest danger lies in falling behind big too early.

Detroit really needs to stop swaggerjacking the Patriots. Seriously now.

Is everything
No wonder Lions fans feel confident - they just beat Denver by 37 points. Can you imagine! We haven't had the luxury of experiencing that.

Flip the positions and most of us would be saying the same type of things.

If we'd have beaten Denver by 37 points people here would be going crazy and complaining that the NFL wasn't working fast enough on changing the name from the Lombardi to the Whisenhunt Trophy.

If Millen can win 10 games before the cards have a 500 year then all hope is lost for the cards franchise and they should be removed from the NFL. Seriously.

We're actually very evenly matched. The teams that Detroit has beaten have 19 combined wins (counting Chicago as 3 twice) which is one more than 3 per team. Arizona's victims have ten combined wins which is one more than 3 per team.

But for the balance of the season, Detroit's opponents (including Arizona) average 5 wins while Arizona's opponents (including Detroit) average 3 wins. I'd be willing to bet that the team that wins Sunday will finish the season with a better record.

Go Cards!
