I hope Warner is put back in for the Hawks. Let McCown start against the Cowboys so Warner will be 100% when he comes back.

True, if he flounders and if he plays like he did last week (the Pukes are gonna hurt Josh if he does) then put in Kurt for the Hawks...then again, if we lose aginst the Cowgirls, the season is positively over (if not already) maybe ya let Josh play to see if there is any improvement and re-sign him as a back-up.

perhaps Id agree if we could pin down the in time part. If we are talking 2 months ok sounds good. Are we talking 5 years? No thx
Two months is all we will give McCown to show his wares....after that we have to have a decision in place....draft or sign a Qb or go forward with the guys we have and sign them to extensions.

Sorry Harley we usually agree. But you are way off teh boat on this one bro. Especially in your highlighted part. That O-line yesterday was the worst its been all year in pass blocking. So where exactly do we all agree that they are better?

Josh is much better than you give him credit for. I get sick of the he was one dropped INT from losing that game. Well I could say that he was 5 dropped passes away from scoring 10 more points n the game etc etc.... That argument holds no merit whatsoever.

Have to agree that the pass blocking against TEN was at its worst since the NYG game.

In defense of Warner, his footwork in the pocket was better than I expected. he shuffles and steps up fine. good, in fact. He might give up another sack or two, but he's no statue. He's a savy vet. He could stand in the face of a fierce dallas pass rush and still get it done.

With that said, I have to start McCown. I just couldn't bench the kid after he's gone .500 over his last 16 starts. Maybe there is something to the idea that the team plays better with him at the helm.

We'll really see what we have with McCown on sun. It will be a defining game for his career.

I'm sticking with this:

Start Warner
Play McCown inside the 20 (or maybe 10 or 15).

You know

I was wonmdering about the shotgun that whole game and why they didn't use it. Thanks SEES, I remember the fiasco that switching routine helped cause for Warner. Damn.
That said, McCown. And, I agree with the LD take also. I don't think Warner can move well enough to take on their D line.

kurt warner is the best QB` on this team, but he is not the best option for this team. this team has no rushing attack, and no o-line. Josh gives us the best chance to win becase he can buy time with his feet, and if needed, run for a few yards(the only rushing attack we have).Kurt can not move, and with him in the game they will send the house on every play, forcing kurt to get hit or make bad throws. Josh got sacked 4 times on sunday. how many times do you think kurt would have been sacked? In a perfect world, this offense would be balanced and kurt would be picking these defenses apart. that is not the case. we need josh's athleticsm to give us more of a threat/ more balance
to win games

And Josh has shown nothing EVER that he can be a quality starting NFL quarterback.

I do not care that Josh has "won games" this year. It was against the 40-friggin'-niners and an absolutely decimated Titans team....and he was a dropped int from losing that one.

Everyone here is in agreement that the o-line is pass blocking better, i.e better than when Kurt started.

Look at the combined records of the teams Warner started against vs. who Josh started against.

Look, I am not a Warner lover nor am I a Josh hater, I am a realist.

If you and I were NFL gm's and only two QB's were available (Josh and Kurt) and you picked Josh..........

I would fall down laughing.

I do not believe that Warner could have stood up against the pressure that Tennessee brought. Josh was having to run for his life much of the afternoon, and there is no way Kurt survives with our line.

I find it hard to believe that I am saying this, but I would go with Josh.

Ya know what's really sad about this whole QB thing is that our O-line is SO pathetic that most everyone wants a younger, quicker guy in there so they can escape for their life! That line is embarrassing
