on the run from johnny law... ain't no trip to cle
crazy. tim duncan got a t on the bench for saying something (don't know what). about a minute later he's still on the bench, a foul was called on some spurs player and duncan starts laughing and gets thrown out. really didn't seem warranted.

Joey Crawford needs to be suspended, he has a knack for making himself bigger than the game. Duncan was obviously laughing about the call, but he could've been laughing about anything and I can't believe he was thrown for that.

That was just STUPID!! I've never seen anything like it. Tim was telling some nice stuff to Joey as he walked out "ef you. Hey. ef you. You piece of s." LOL.

I'm not a Spurs fan, but damn if that was uncalled for. Crawford is such an ass. It's funny, but every team thinks that he is for someone else's team...Lakers fans hate the guy, yet everyone thinks he's a Laker homer ref. The reason is because the guy is a real ***** who likes to be controversial on the court and always seems to be "above the game." I can't think of any team that sees Joey and says, alright...got a good ref tonight.

Poor Timmah (and that subsequent offensive foul call on the guy setting the pick was bogus too.)

I keep watching it too. Timmah's reaction is great...he just stares at him with a half smile, thinking "there is no way in hell he just T'd me up for laughing on the bench.."

Come on Dallas beat San Antonio.

I actually want SA to win to keep the pressure on the Suns so that we play hard in our last 2 games. I don't want the Suns slacking off at all going into the playoffs. Plus it would be demoralizing for the Mavs to lose to the Duncanless Spurs when the Mavs are actually trying.

I was hoping SA would win too. We don't need any help from Dallas, we can clinch with a win. But Dallas just won, so oh well.

SA scored 10 pts in the 4th qtr without Duncan.......MVP of the game is Joey Crawford.

Duncan was baiting him. But yeah, Joe Crawford is probably in the top 10 list of "worst NBA officials" (a list for which the spots are always hotly contested).

Anyway, the Suns' regular season is officially over now! I look forward to extended minutes from the Rose/Banks/Burke combo over the next two games...

If anything I think the Suns have pretty much proven they can flip the switch on when they need to.

I'd rather they get rest, and that is what will happen now with the # 2 seed being locked up.

When you see crap like that, you really can help but wonder if the NBA is rigged. Crawford's bank account needs to be monitored.

I can see reducing the top 7 to about 28-32 minutes a piece, but we need to keep some of that momentum & chemistry. We still have a great opportunity to set a new season win record in franchise history and knock the Clippers out of the playoffs so who knows what D'Antoni will actually do.

Setting a win record means nothing. The Suns had a chance to do it in 04-05 and promptly rested everyone and got blown out by Sacramento in the last game of the year.

As far as the Clippers, I'm sure the Suns would rather Golden State get the 8 seed then them but I doubt they go all out to make sure they win that game.

The really funny thing is to read the comments on a few Mav websites, where Mav fans actually are defending Joey Crawford's call!

I'm in the finals of one of my fantasy leagues and really could have used a big game from Duncan today. Thanks a lot, Crawford.

Good news for the Suns, though, woohoo!

I'm glad Phoenix has the second seed wrapped up. Steve really played hard against Utah and at times appeared neared exhaustion. Also Barbosa was really getting pounded to the floor against Utah. The other Suns starters could use some additional rest as well. I'm just glad the Suns can start cutting back minutes the last two ballgames if they desire since the second seed is no longer at risk. I want the Suns healthy and rested for the playoffs. IMO, this is the key.

Regardless if you think Tim was baiting him JC made that call making it look like he is bigger then the NBA. Who do you think is more valuable to the NBA JC or Tim Duncan? That was insane.

Not to mention that how many times do you see guys allowed to argue with the ref a little bit after getting their 1st "T"???? It happens every single night. So it's OK to argue a little and push the boundries with Refs by getting in their face on the court but not laugh on the sideline? WTF???

Joey Crawford has always been and always will be a horses ASS.

Actually Joey was trying to do Ducan a favor. No one is giving Duncan any support for MVP, but Joey proved just how valuable he is to the Spurs. ;)

As for the value of keeping the pressure on the Suns, I'm not a big fan of it. I would like to lock up home court as early as possible. Tempting fate is always a risk, especially when guys like Crawford are wearing stripes.
