As a fan I say absolutely no to the idea of Tim Tebow. However, if Arians is convinced he can make something of him I'd certainly keep an open mind. I think our new coach is more likely to move our offseason workouts to the moon but I hear the moon is nice this time of year so I'm fine with either decision.

Tough crowd. My thoughts were if Tom Moore and arians are so good at training QB's could they train a guy like Tebow or even Skelton who have a lot of talent but have not been that accurate to be great or even good QB's. I believe if they are that good at teaching they should be able to mold a guy into a good QB.

Gary---Tebow is a winner---he finds a way---

One of the incredibly smart things that John Harbaugh said to Jim Nantz following the Super Bowl win was that he always tells his team that "ugly wins is what we are." Not to care what it looks like---just care about finding a way to win.

Bruce Arians just said this week he's not "stats guy". Stats, according to BA are "bunk." "There's only one stat that matters," he said.

I think this way of coaching is very very smart.

Style points really don't matter---and the way the game is played there are bound to be numerous mishaps and mistakes---but, the teams that overcome the mistakes are the ones that win.

Tebow is still going to out-work, out-train and out-believe 99% of the players in the NFL. He will find a way to make an impact---there is no stopping him.

If Arians could beat Belichick to the punch and trade for Tebow and do what the Patriots would do: have him play TE, STs and be the situational Wildcat QB, he would energize the team and the fan base. There is no question about it. As Arians and Tom Moore have been saying, you cater the offense to the strengths of the players.

Our offense needs to get physical and needs to play tough. Adding Tebow to put in a diversified role as TE, STer and situational WCQB could be a significant step in that direction.

Therefore, I am with you, Gary. I think adding him would be a boon.

The OP made his case for bringing him in as the QB and I think many (most?) of us responded in that vein. If he's willing to play a different role and Arians has interest, I'm not against the idea. I don't really like the idea of the media circus we'd have to put up with but I think that's much more the result of ESPN (and Fox etc.) rather than Tebow so I don't really hold it against Tim.

Good point, Steve.

However, unlike his predecessor, I thing Arians wants to create a buzz around this team. I think he wants excitement and creating a stir in the media would help.

I think too that Arians would be amenable to having HBO's Hard Knocks follow the Cardinals this year. Again...to generate a buzz around the league and to show future free agents that playing in Arizona under Arians and his staff is THE place to be.

Being Pittsburgh west is one thing and NY Jets west, another. I don't dislike the kid and give him the credit due, but, I can't concieve how this Banum and Ballie act fits into the needs of the Cards. I, for one, will pass on this 'buzz' and doubt very much that anyone will be trading an asset for someone who simply doesn't have a set role. He can't throw, he is a relatively cumbersome runner and we have no idea if he can catch.

I saw one highlight at the bar, he winds up with his massive throwing motion and darts the ball way over and past his WR into a defenders hands.

If he were Jewish I would think about it. But no to many teams have evaluated his talent and said nada! I agree.
