I know it's only December but this is a crucial game for the Suns if they have playoff aspirations (same with games vs OKC, Sac and to a lesser extent Spurs/Portland).

Hopefully Baynes is back and the defense improves; I shudder at the thought of Kaminsky guarding KAT the whole game.

Today is Aron Baynes and Kelly Oubre's birthdays. Kelly is now 24 and Baynes is now 33. Hope they can get a win for them.

Well, when Tom Van Arsdale joined his twin brother Dick on the Suns, they shared the
same birthday.

A long time ago, I ran into Dick in a Circle K in the evening (he was picking up beer) and
pointed out that he and Tom, Dr. J and I had something in common. Our birthdays were
all February 22nd.

At the end of the conversation, I said, "I am talking with Dick, right?" He smiled and said,
"You'll never know." But I knew it was Dick. :)

Unfortunately they weren't the last Suns to share a birthday but that is a good story. The last Suns that did were the Morrii, but I know most would prefer to forget them.

I share my birthday with everyone's favorite Sun, Jimmer Fredette. That's February 25th, which is a day after Eddie Johnson's birthday as well. There is a lot of former Suns that have February birthdays. Tim Thomas on the 26th, Barkley and Marbury on the 20th, and also on the 22nd with you are journeyman Center Chris Dudley and Elfrid Payton.

Here's a link to the birthdays on Basketball Reference. I didn't realize it allowed you to view all former NBA players by their birth dates.

Suns really need a rim protector as there is no one guarding the rim when the offensive player breaks free.

I still like Monty as a coach, but I am starting to wonder about his player rotations. Why in the world did Kaminsky get the start?

And Kevin Ray didn't mention it, as he was going on an on about who knows what.

Because he waits 'til the end of each play to (maybe) mention what just happened,
he mentioned Baynes' name once before the end of the quarter.

Strange!

To keep Baynes' minutes down in his first game back. He is on limited minutes for the game.

Referees never look at the play leading to Wolves points. The ball was off Wolves out of bounds.

Suns not only have to beat the Wolves but the referees too.

I would still start Diallo over Kaminsky.

He shows good promise, but I don't fault the Suns for easing him in.

The NBA is a tough league for most youngsters. They adjust to them
pretty quickly, causing a quick setback.

At least Diallo has a prayer of being a net positive. Even when Kaminsky's shot is red hot, he will always be one of the worst defenders in the league.
