What on God's green earth would cause you to think that?

He started at LT last year.

They moved him to RT this year.

He played RT for Arians in Indy.

They haven't brought anyone else in.

They clearly haven't been happy with Massie's development.

I like the idea of signing Winston, but it's time to find out about Massie. Can he play or not? Sowell can fill in IF we don't sign Winston, but I'm not sure he's the long term answer, if we jettison Massie. Sowell might turn out to be a good RT, so we'll have to wait and see.

Sums up how I feel. I want Massie to get a shot, but I also want Winston available if he falters again. Sowell can back up at left tackle and be in the mix at right tackle.

Did I miss the part where they moved Sowell to right tackle?
It would be a complete joke to move Sowell to right having not given Massie more time at the position.

in OTAs sowell is lining up at RT.

To me it makes sense. Do you put a guy who couldnt crack the lineup as the original starter or do you use a guy that started at an even harder position for us last year?

sowell was a starter. we got a better starter. so you move sowell to an easier starting position until you find a better option.

OTAs haven't started yet.

-- OTAs run from May 20-22, May 27-29, June 2-5. Helmets allowed, as is offense vs. defense.

Not if Massie continues not to absorb the playbook as has been reported in the past. Hopefully he gets it this year because he certainly has the potential.

Seahawks might be planning to re-sign him after week one so they don't have to give him a guaranteed contract. Now---that means another team could jump right in if they wanted and Winston was interested. It's likely that he would prefer to play closer to his home in Texas.

The article on NFL.com noted Winston struggled through 16 games with Cards last season and may be at the end of his career.

Haven't hear a bad word said about Massie all pre season. I know thats a late response but its definitely a good thing.
