Anyone hear the smack aimed at this kid's melon on the Tony Bruno Show this week?

One comment was that he looked like a Pez dispenser, and another suggested he could do commercials for Remington with the 'stache he already has.

Nice to see the kid gets national smack.

That's pretty brutal, but that Pez dispenser comparison has me thinking of that Seinfeld episode with the Tweety Bird Pez dispenser at the piano recital. Paint that kids head yellow, shave the mustache, and replace his lips with a beak, and you have an identical match. :)

Great episode and moment in Sienfeld lore...lol

In fact, wife and I are going to see him at the Dodge theatre this weekend, and we're going to buy Pez dispensers to put on the armrest of our friends right when the show starts :)

See, this is the thing I really can't understand. I mean it's okay when people privately make jokes about him, but to do it on national television. Unfortunately, Brian in Mesa, you're most likely...

One more outburst like that, and notakiddfan will not be posting here anymore.

BTW, not sure which are fascination with incest is, but you may want to go to a psychiatrist to find out. It's a little scary.

Unfortunately, Brian in Mesa, you're most likely impotent or at least way to pathetic to ever have any type of relationship with a member of the opposite sex, so you will I'm sure never have children. Still, if you and your mother get drunk together, and you do experiment a little with each other doing that thing you've always fantasized about but never had the guts to ever talk about it with her, everybody's gonna laugh at your ******** offspring that you two produce.

Even then, of course, it won't be alright, because two wrongs don't make a right, and laughing at your physically deformed son would be mean, but at least you'll be able to realize what it feels like to have your child criticized and made fun of for something as superficial and shallow as mere looks.

What is this? What's your point? Why do you do this and consistently think you're going to be respected?

You know what? Most of us already think BIM is insane--but we don't go around trying to look smart by coming up with really cool insults against him.

Respected by whom? I honestly could care less if I'm respected or not by people who have to poke serious fun at a four year old to get at a basketball player. And you guys say your feelings of Jason Kidd have little to do with his comments shortly after the trade. You gotta be kidding me.

If you wanna know my point, somebody please explain to me how making fun of an absolutely helpless, and harmless, fouror five year old on national television is anything other than pathetic. Please, Chaplin, brian in mesa, enlighten me. If you can even come close to doing that, I'll leave leave this board without saying another thing. I'll just admit to myself that I'm wrong, and I'll leave.

Nobody's saying he's right, I myself think he went a little overboard. But that is no reason to go off like you did and personally attack him. If that's your goal, then just private message him.

Because it is a joke. It sounds like it was funny. Technically most people who are made fun of on national telivision cannot "defend themselves" to the masses. Does that make most jokes pathetic? However, most people can laugh at jokes, even that are directed at themselves, so none of this really matters.

Just think of it this way....his head will just keep getting bigger, so if we can desensatize the little guy about his very large head now, he will be more than capable of handling jokes when his head becomes ridiculously large as the years pass.

Alright, somebody here that has children, put up pictures of one of your children as a four or five year old, and everybody will rip on it. It could be fun.

But see, that's the point. We don't post pictures of our children for everyone to look at.

Why is T. J. Kidd in our faces all the freaking time? Because Jason and Joumana are shamelessly exploiting him. Everyone knows that they've had serious domestic problems in the past, so what are they doing? They're shoving their kid at us at every opportunity, as if to say, "No, look, we're really happy together, we promise!" It is hypocritical, it is completely insensitive to what is good for the child, and it is disgusting.

Four or five years from now, when I have a four- or five-year old (my wife is due any day now), I sure hope I have the decency and common sense not to parade my daughter (we think, heh) around at every opportunity that I think might be good for me. Respect the kid's privacy, for crying out loud, even if your career means that you have to give up your own.

And I think that's why people make fun of T. J. Kidd. They resent the way his parents abuse him, trying to make us forget about the dark conflict that is central to their lives. It is insulting to our intelligence, and an afront to all responsible parents. True, it's not T. J.'s fault, and there's nothing he can do about it, so the ridicule is misguided. But it gets the point across, just the same.

Maybe you should change your name from 'NotaKiddfan1', to "No1Kiddfan".

I see some valid points on both sides of the arugment... but... just one question....... Why would the child be ******** if born out of mother and son? Is that a proven fact? Hmmmm.

But here's the point. As far as we know none of the parents that visit this message board put their kids in the national spotlight almost every other night for eight months out of the year.

I also believe it is tasteless to make fun of this kids enormous head on national radio/TV, but there are plenty of tasteless things on the radio/TV these days. As far as I can tell Brian in Mesa was not on national radio talking about the kid.

Finally, I think people would still make fun of this kid's head if he was the son of a player we all like. It might not happen as often, but it would happen.

I think it's in bad taste to bag on a 4 year old. That said, I also think it's in bad taste for the Kidd's to parade around their own flesh and blood to repair their damaged reputation. Which judging by TJ's lack of exposure prior to Kidd beating his pregnant wife would lead me to assume that TJ is, in reality, a cute little PR machine.

The Kidd's should know better. There is a reason why most athletes keep their families in the stands, out of the spotlight...and it's not because they can't score floor seats.

I think there's absolutely nothing wrong with letting a child see his father play basketball. It's not like Jourmana takes TJ in front of the camera and dances around - they go to the game and every once in a while the camera cues in on the two of them during a timeout or something.

Yes, TJ has a big head so he'll get made fun of by people who are jealous that they didn't have a life like TJ's when they were kids. Those people, though, are pretty pathetic. There are definately sad, pathetic people in this world. That much is certain. Everybody will encounter pathetic, flat out bad people in their lives that will kick them while they're down, etc. You can't avoid it and thinking you can isn't realistic.

That being said, just because there are sad people in this world doesn't mean you have to be one of them. You know what, I don't even care if you admit to me that bagging on a four year old is wrong. I just want people to ask themselves if, really, doing that is the right thing to do. If you don't think it says anything about your character, fine, maybe I'm wrong. We'll just agree to disagree.

OK, I made sure for making fun of the size of a four-year-old's head. I can take that. That's fine, and I have no problem with it. I also have no problem with you scolding us for it as Long issue aren't insulting people by talking about them sleeping with their family.

Notakidfan, you're lucky Joe Mama is in charge of this board and is more tolerant than I am. What he says goes and that's why you're still here.

"Every once in a while"? Has there ever been a four-year-old athlete's child who has gotten more television time?

Have you failed to notice T. J.'s presence at Kidd's postgame news conferences?

Couple of things

The Haji comment was the funniest thing I have heard in like a week

I will laugh at a joke about a 4 year olds enormous head, actually I will crack jokes about almost anything, and people can crack as many jokes about me as that want. That does not make me a sad person.

Your entire point is based around the fact that it is wrong to make fun of a 4 year old's head. I really do not see a difference between that and the way you went off on BIM with your comments. In fact, I will go out on a limb and say the only reason a lot of people responded to this thread is because of those comments. It is just pretty hypocritical for you to go off on someone for making fun of someone by writing everything you did (Ill admit it, I didnt see it worth my time to finish reading)

Serious question here, how old are you?

Notakiddfan1:

Had Joumana been so public with her parenting prior to getting beat down by her husband, I would be inclined to agree with you. But she wasnt. TJ became Joumana's and Jason's accessory right after the domestic violence incident.

What does that tell you?

The ink hadnt even dried on Kidd's plea agreement before he appeared in Sports Illustrated posing in the bathtub with TJ and the twins or in the kitchen preparing mom's meatloaf or french fries or whatever he was trying to cook.

Besdies, even if they do have purely good intentions, wouldnt a good parent want to protect their young son when it was obvious that he had become the source of so many jokes? Or is TJ tough enough to handle to it?
