Rogers has been way better for the Niners than Clements.

But he's given Fitz the fits since he came over.

Interestingly, Clements will get another shot at #11 at our house when the Bengals come to town. EDIT: Errr... we're going to Cincy. That'll be fun, too?

That A.J. Green vs. Patrick Peterson matchup is going to be worth the price of admission.

good but not great

yes the Niners are good, but they are not 8-1 talented. I give them credit but still don't like them. i hope they puke up the ball every play.

I think whiz is desperately getting out of his own way, to keep his job. I hope stays and grows from it. Hortons defense has more talent, spotting Porter and Haggins has alot to do with it. CC, DD, DC
can stop gore and maim Alex Smith. look what they did to Rice!
those 3 tds were after PI calls at the 1, stupid officials hope they puke too!

PP may be the most talented player in the NFL and DWASH is a force. Even if were playing for next year- and growing forward- I like what i'm seeing finally, on defense.

The niners, we want their offense on the field. Again Beanie is not outmatched and has improved health. He is capable of owning any team every Sunday- and He hates the niners.. He will steam roll Patrick willis - twice- mark my word.

I leave this match up link as evidence, please check the stat analysis match up- kind of interestring for an 8-1 team, you think?

The 9ers have yet to let up a rushing TD this season... that's just insane.

Their defense is fantastic and extremely talented. They've allowed, by a HUGE margin, the fewest points in the entire NFL. Tied for 8th in INT's. Tied for 2nd in Forced Fumbles. Top 10 in Sacks. #1 in Rushing defense @ 73 yards per game. They're 26th against the pass however - so, Skelton or Kolb are going to have to come up big!

Offensively, they're #7 in Rushing and 29th in Passing. So, we stop the run and put the ball in Smith's hands, we've got a shot!

Many here refuse to accept just how good the 9ers have become. How tough they've become and that they are more like a tough AFC team than any other NFC team...
I despise the 9ers, but I have enormous respect for the job Harbaugh has done. It's actually quite miraculous to think that experts are even suggesting that you can get to and perhaps win a Super Bowl with Alex Smith as your QB. Stunning turn of events for sure.

In any event, the ONLY way we can win this game is if we play flawless football, execute at a level higher than we executed in Philly, and out-tough the toughest team in the NFC adn arguably, a top 3 toughest team in the NFL...

If we fall back to commiting stupid penalties. If we can't protect our QB. And if we can't stop the run, this game will quickly become a laugher...

Beware of division games, it'd be one thing if we were playing them and they were in the NFC East or something then we'd probably get mauled by them.

We know their personell, we've got plenty of tape on them for the coaching change.

I'm liking this game as a very good one to watch just in terms of NFL football this weekend, let alone the fact it's the Cardinals.

I think the 49ers think they're going to roll us but I bet we come out punching them in the mouth.

New Starters for the San Francisco 49ers since we last faced them:

OC Jonathan Goodwin
WR Braylon Edwards
CB Carlos Rogers
CB Terrell Brown
NT Isaac Sopoaga
DE Ray McDonald
SS Donte Whitner
ILB Navarro Bowman

So if you only count 3/4 of their starters and less than half of their defensive front, then I guess you're right.

OK! What do you guys/gals think we should do to win Sunday??

I had a buddy of mine (a Bills fan of all things) ask me the same question this morning.

My answer for him was "play better football!"

Screw the breakdowns, the match-ups, the gameplans, etc...just go out there and beat the Niners!

man, it would have been nice to go after Carlos Rodgers... he didn't break the bank... was available and him and Peterson would have been a nasty duo at CB for the foreseeable future.

pass protect and throw the ball. they have a strong front and excellent linebacking crew. its tough to run the ball on them. they broke romo's rib and tore him up in that game, but he gashed their secondary when he had time or extended a play...with backup WR's... that was without dez bryant and miles austin left in the 4th quarter before the game was even. After the game tony romo said that the 49ers had one of the best defensive fronts in the entire league and that SF would win a lot of games. I thought he was just talking...but it appears he was right. While they will make the playoffs, I do not believe they are a true championship contender at the end of the day. they are very beatable, but you have to give them credit for knowing how to win games win it has counted.
