Arrington is not 5'8" gall darn it......he's 5'8" and 7/8.......so who's splitting hairs.

He will be the #2 RB from the class of '05.

I've never understood knocking a RB because of height. Other positions it matters some but I think it's more difficult for taller RBs. The shorter guys have lower centers of gravity which helps balance and change of direction. Plus they're a smaller, more compact target. Why exactly should they be tall? They're not supposed to be able to see over the OL like a QB does, they're supposed to run through the holes between the linemen.

Really, can these "ooh, he's too small" people just ****? It is a completely asinine argument.

Quoting Raising Arizona (which seems appropriate):

"That was beautiful"

Height doesn't scare me, but he seemed on highlight reels (the few I've seen) to really benefit from some outstanding blocking. I worry about how much was him and how much was line? And I really really hope that I'm totally wrong and he's the best ever. EVAR.

To lead the nation in rushing I would guess any runner would need to get some "outstanding blocking" :)

... which is true, and with some new personel and a new offensive scheme, perhaps he will, this year, also benefit from more "outstanding blocking".
Then again, even with mediocre blocking emmit almost got a grand on the ground... but he was really really good at picking out hole in which to find daylight...
Aw conundrum!
The season must resolve it for me.
PS
NO LOSSES TO THE FRICKIN NINERS THIS YEAR HUH??!
